I hope Champa is not our only main villain. DB series have 3-4 main villains. For example:

DB:

Pilaf
Commander Red
Piccolo Daimao
Piccolo

DBZ:

Vegeta
Freeza
Cell
Majin Buu

DBGT:

Bebi
Super 17
Yi Xing Long (Syn Shenron/Omega Shenron)

If Super does have 100 episodes in plan then three or four main villains would be perfect.

Goku is obviously not omnipotent but if they were to really want to end the dragon ball series would they make Goku omnipotent so that he would basically become unbeatable in which would pretty much wrap up this whole dragon ball story as a whole? Son Goku is the strongest one!!! chapter
It's not a "parody"... that's just not what a "god" is in the Dragon World. It's not what a god is to many worldwide religions.

Earth's God (the old green dude) is a god. Dende is a god (and is, in fact, God with a capital "G"). Kaio, the Lord of Worlds, is a god. The Kaioshin are gods. Beerus is a god. Super Saiyan God is apparently a god!

This isn't Christianity, but rather a world view influenced by Buddhism where gods can be and are mortals that, while they may have achieved enlightenment, are likely still just that: mortal. They can be killed. They have jobs. They have hopes, dreams, aspirations, and fears.
Well then maybe whats really going to be interesting to see if in Dragon Ball Super other universes are ruled by the same Buddhism ideology or do they have different types of Gods? I know that in a lot of Japanese animes/manga western religion had a big influential factor. Like when a lot of characters are influenced to have God servant angel type look with wings and halo that we even see in a lot of anime's like Sora no Otoshimoto,Saint Seiya, High School DXD, 666 Satan and even in Dragon Ball. Yes Dragon Ball in general is heavily influenced by Buddhism idea where mortals could become Gods and could be killed, but i do think there are some western religious ideologies packed in it aswell. Even the name Super Saiyan God (Goddo) which is meant to refer to the western god. Not sure if its because it sounds cooler or because their trying to make Goku have the power and appearance of the western god?

What if the scene with Beerus and Whis is just a dream that Beerus is having? It would jive with the film better that way and the manga chapter is called 'Beerus' prophetic dream' right?

Era wise, I would've liked if they would've continued where F left off. Right now where it looks like where we are (rewriting movies that are barely two years old) is so frustrating.

But for all I know, Super could be a lot of fun for me. Right now I'm just tired of not knowing.

No. The prophetic dream was the one we had before all this for the first time, when Oracle Fish told him about the ssj god.
In this chapter, he just remembers about it. Also doesn't make sense being a dream, because elder kai and Kibitoshin noticed he destroyed another planet.

I think Champa would made a horrible villain, he is just a fat Beerus... No original design, no nothing... Same thing about "Whisa"

I hope that SUPER make me change my thoughts about him

Waiting in the wings along with Pan, Bra, and Uub should there be a time-skip at some point.

This week's the moment of truth you guys; if not for Saturday's preview, then for whatever next week Jump leaks may or may not say (since it's official release date would be a few days after the preview).

Tuesday was the lucky day for a while; maybe this Tuesday will yield some Weekly Jump results. I can only hope it does.

It's so weird that we know so little considering how soon this is going to air.

I'm not fallowing the latest news for Super anymore but didn't the manga work as a spoiler/information?
Or do you mean more information on who is doing the animation and so on.

So... I don't know if this has been posted, but it looks like FUNimation might already have the rights to Super:
WTK wrote:Another speculation thread...

Hastings ran a FUNimation only email promo blast (email blast screenshot only since direct URL won't link correctly) on June 22. It lists a number of FUNimation series. The very top of the email blasts mentions Dragon Ball Super very briefly.
After 18 years, the new series

Dragonball Super

is coming this July.

Did Hastings jump the gun? Probably. But they are not known to run email anime blasts of any kind.

Then again, it's really matter of when before FUNimation announce this is. The question may be will it be announced this summer (streaming on time or close to it) or later on as just home video release (Dragon Ball Z Kai wasn't streamed).
I don't know if his source is reliable or not, so if not, don't shoot the messenger!

Yeah, Super is an anime original, it's not like they'll be revealing us much more before it airs than what we already know.

As for staff information and episode titles, we'll know when the July anime schedules start popping up (early next month...if we're lucky, next week).

I am sure that he will create some more later for the other seasons. And don't forget that they can also use his music from BOG, ROF and Kai. It's also really sad that they didn't use all of his Kai tracks in the official international version of Kai.

How many Kai tracks went unused? I heard about the Goku theme on the OST, but what else?

And yeah, a number like that seems appropriate, and it's likely stuff will be reused from the previous series and movies.

And some tracks from Battle of Gods like Kaio's theme or Bulma's birthday party theme.
