Vegeta's got a new outfit! Wow what a change.

Unbelievable how little we still know about Super. Judging by the stills it looks great though.

Maybe they still want to shift some things around, edit some text, etc.

If that's true, isnt' that worrying in itself that they haven't even got the poster finalised when the show starts in 10 days?

At the very least it is possible to get some of the same staff. Kyousougiga Series Director Matsumoto Rie left Toei Animation for Bones to direct Kekkai Sensen but a lot of the episode directors and key animators still work with Toei. Kakudou Hiroyuki, Shimizu Junji, Kamatani Yuu and Hatano Morio all continue to work on Toei Animation titles like Pretty Cure or World Trigger, so it's not impossible for them to be asked to lend their strength to Dragon Ball Super. Hayashi Yuuki was even an assistant animation supervisor for Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F. Hayashi was the character designer and one of the major animation supervisors for Kyousougiga, so if he were to be a regular for Dragon Ball Super the look of his episodes would certainly be strong.

Mind you, there's no guarantee Dragon Ball Super will get good staff, either because of priorities within the studio or a simply lack of interest from talented animators or directors. Chioka Kimitoshi and Yamamuro Tadayoshi both worked on Hakaba Kitarou with a lot of good animators and directors so with any luck they'll be able to call in some of those old contacts personally and not simply through Producer Kido Atsushi.

Wow. It looks like they've literally got one set of promotional character drawings to work with, and are unashamedly willing to deploy them however (and as much) as possible.

I mean heck, I don't even want to know what the positioning of Champa's finger implies without the Earth ontop and the female Whis nestled behind him.

I dig how they're using opposite colors for Whis and Lady Whis' outfits. Speaking of Mario though, the red and green do give off a Mario and Luigi style image.

I wish Whis would have been Lady Whis from the get-go. I like her design better, and it would have been neat seeing Goku and Vegeta trained by a woman. lol.

Then again, I have no idea what plans they have with this character.

Vegeta would start getting flashbacks to 18 breaking his arm.

But yeah, that would have been great. I'm actually excited with the prospect that she might be at least as strong as Whis himself. We havent had a female character on par with the main cast since 18.

Not gonna lie, that'd annoy me quite a bit. I mean, it wouldn't be enough to kill Super for me on its own, but...definitely would be a let-down.

Blink and you'll miss her transition from "strong female character" to "mom of more Whis-like characters". /half-joke that would be cool for little Whis beings to be a thing

There was a title page with a little flowchart explaining all the androids Dr. Gero made, and it mentioned that #18's power was suppressed in comparison to #17's in an attempt to counteract the attitude problem #17 had ended up with. Didn't work.

I guess I see what you mean. Never been a huge fan of those puffy-shouldered sleeves.

Admittedly if the title page wasn't a thing you could just put it down to 17's arrogance...but it is a thing, so yeah no.
