He isn't a liability. A liability is someone like Chi-chi. He is still pretty strong.

To be fair, when Gohan fought Beerus he didn't know how strong Beerus was, and everybody did quite poor against him, and with Freeza's men he was the strongest there at the time. Did he even attempt to challenge Freeza? I thought they knew they were outclassed and were trying to buy time.

I'd like Gohan to, at the very least, keep his ultimate powers in Super.

True. However, watching Majin Buu and the rest of the Z-fighters getting knocked away like they were nothing should be a good indication that he isn't dealing with the average walking talking purple cat and that he should plan his next move carefully just in case this opponent has a power greater than his own and doesn't wined up on the body pile.

Anyway, I gave two cents. I never really did get into these big Gohan discussions but I know how they usually end. So I say we just end it now.

With Super just a week away I can't wait to get some new info on Fat Beerus (I know his name is champa but I don't care I'm calling him Fat Beerus) and FemWhis. I'm really excited to see what part they play in this new story and what sort of personality they have. I just hope they're great like the Beerus and Whis we have now.

Gohan sucks, and shouldn't have even gotten what he's had in this series so far. Literally sits on his ass and becomes the strongest. Fuck that. Characters are sacrificed in this series all the time, yet it's only really a travesty now because it's Gohan. Dude's in a fighting series and doesn't like to fight, so fuck him. Let him move over and let better characters take his spot then.

I think Gohan's development makes perfect sense, and back pedal on it now would be a mistake.
Gohan never liked to fight, but what kept him going from the Saiyan arc up to Cell was the continuous need to help the others, especially his father and Piccolo, he couldn't run away from those things anymore. He went from a crybaby to a brave kid, sure, but at that point he had a reason to do so. See how Goku never really had to force him to train. So naturally, any long period of peace would be the death of his skills.

Would it bring more dignity for the character if he retired and didn't try to fight at all anymore, like Yamcha? Well, maybe...that's debatable, but it wouldn't be Gohan. Even if he becomes a weakling, he can't look the other way.

Funny how that picture does not show Gohan getting his ass handed to him by Buu and then being absorbed. And also funny how it doesn't show Gohan steeping in an owning all of Freeza's men. Argue all you want about Gohan being weaker or whatever at least be fair.

Wow, someone who actually understands his character arc. I mean, it should be obvious to anyone who read/watched the series, but considering the amount of ranting and complaining about him that I see, it's refreshing to see a comment like this.

A lot of fans complain about the way Gohan is written in the new movies compared to before but if you think about it he was written a lot worse in the Buu arc cause unlike the new movies he was the strongest character yet he didn't play any role in the final battle.

Mr.Satan played a bigger role in that battle then he did.

Becoming the strongest at the time did a lot more bad then good for him cause if he didn't get that power up he wouldn't look as bad as he does now.

Totally agree, it gets far too out of hand... Soooo.. Vegeta's new outfit looks good from what I can see, rocking the earth threads.

I hope that Goku's farmer attire and whatever Vegeta's casual clothes are make it into the next fighting game as alternate costumes.

Also I'm not the only one that saw that super low res image of Vegeta and instantly thought he was wearing Future Trunks's jacket, am I?
