That scene if from cooler revenge movie, takes place at around 9 minutes when gohan and krillin were setting up camps and goku decided to catch fish.

The fact that Super animation is being rushed doesn't make any sense. Toei could have taken their time with this. No one was expecting a new TV series, by this point.
I don't understand why people put themselves in this situations. They wanted Super to debut right after Buu Kai?! Logical. But they should plan things better.

I think Toriyama did try while illustrating the Kanzenban covers to make Gokû's hair make a little more sense, but it's definitely a difficult task.

I honestly didn't like his take at trying to make sense of it. There were too many bangs and combined with the rest of Goku's body just didn't feel like Goku at all.

Just read that Toei may be making 2/3rds of their annual October Precure movie in cgi (and so that hopefully frees up some help for Super later this summer?).

Welcome to the Japanese animation industry for the past two or three years. Production committees don't want to wait, so the staff has to suffer until more rushed deadlines and a lack of staff because everyone else in the industry is busy putting together series. In 2014 alone there were 170 animated series in production, to say nothing of films, television specials, video game cut scenes, original video animation or television commercials. Shingeki no Kyojin Episode #7 as it aired on television had one month for production. Episode #24 had a month and a half, all because the series began airing a good six months too early. This is to say nothing of the huge, huge, huge number of animators and sub-contracting studios that worked on each episode.

If more thought had been put into things Dragon Ball Super would have begun production back in September 2014. Hell, July 2014 would have been better given it would have made scheduling easier, especially since Producer Kido Atsushi is unlikely to be able to recruit many animators and sub-contracting studios to work on the series.

The trailer doesn't prove it, but "body language" reinforced, at least to me, that Champa will be really strong, but still Beerus' inferior. But seems like he's also a God of Destruction. At this point, I have gave up on fitting the movies into the narrative until second notice. It makes less and less sense the more I try to think for myself of how it could all fit. Instead I will look to the movies as non-canon and Super as the new thing with no preconceived notions.

I hope Champa and Beerus are brothers, though. I don't want there to be a God Race, nor for them to all be cats, even if I'm reconsidering the story validity of the movies.

Didn't Beerus ask Goku if he wanted to be the God of Destruction after Beerus dies? That implies to me that it's more of a position than an innate identity. Kind of like Earth's Kami

Yes, and I even said that some pages ago. But as I said, I'm beggining to think more and more that it will be hard to fit the movie with the series in a story timeline from what we know of it, as there seems to be simply too many time and character inconsistencies between the two. So a God Race made all of cats, or animals, is suddenly a very real possibility to me.

It doesn't seem like it will. At the time of the movies, it was said that Beerus was asleep for 39 years straight, missing the whole Freeza, Cell and Majin Buu fights. The movie occurs five years after the Majin Buu fight. Yet, the series begins a year after Buu's fight, and Beerus is apparently awake in that time frame. I may have missed things by a year or two and I'm certain someone will correct me if that's the case, but I believe the timeframes are all in that ballpark.

First Beerus mentions being reminded of "him" from his (prophetic) dream, and Whis seems surprised to hear that Beerus had a dream about something. Continue on with the next exchange having Beerus explain about the guy named Super Saiyan God, and Whis repeats it like he's never heard of it before.

None of this would really make sense if they already talked about his prophetic dream at that breakfast.

So they forgot about it, maybe they spent a long time on that planet or destroying other planets after their breakfast conversation, and it didn't happen immediately afterwards.
