Favourite Character Design
Hey,
So I was wondering who your favourite character design is. Which characters do you like purely for there looks and unique abilities and the impression they give?
My favourite character design is Freeza .I like his first form the best. I like the way he wears the upper body armour like everybody else, even though he probably doesn’t need it. I also like the armour around his wrists and ankles. I like the way he uses a scouter and travels around in his hover chair (even though he can get around quite easily by himself, it just shows he is in charge and doesn’t have to do things for himself).
I like the design of his horns and his tail. I think they portray Freeza as looking pretty weak but he is obviously not because he is in command, it’s funny how people tremble at somebody so small. I also think that the pink on his legs and arms look good and show him as being a worm like character. The ability to transform into more powerful stages is good as it hides his true power, and it is a mystery as to how strong he can become.

Fisrt-form Janemba, simply because he looks so unique and looks nothing like any other character.
And he looks huggable... like a big teddy bear... ¬.¬'

Wow, so many... I'd like to go with Majin Buu first off. Mainly the Super and Chibi forms because they are so simple but they still work. Freeza and Cell are interesting too... Wow.. there are so many...would it be stupid to say just about all of them..

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

My favorite would have to be SSJ2 Kid Gohan, or GT era Uub/Majuub. Don't know why but I like his design a lot.

In a world that rarely gives second chances, how is the third time a charm?

My favorite character design hands down is post-first-round Mirai Gohan from the Trunks special, by post first round, I mean when he's lost one arm and bearing his badass scar. Also a reason I love this design is it shares a coinciding with Preteen Gohan getting his arm damaged by Cell before the final Kamehame-Ha battle, as well as a mirroring parallel to GT Gohan having his opposite arm turned metal by Rilldo. The design is just so badass, who else in DBZ has only one arm and can put up a fight so well? Oh Mirai Gohan, why only could Sagas see your potential for video games.

Super Saiyan 4, biznatches.
The ultimate physical and mental amalgamation of the Saiyan's rational, "human" side, and their feral, animalistic side.
=
Raw, 1337 ownage.
Thinking about it a bit deeper, and I kinda see how the Androids --> Cell saga, Trunks' story, kinda begins with, ends with, and to a point centers around Gohan.

Sweet roasting chesnuts, I never noticed that! The GT example, like the series, is kinda meh, but to think that Gohan's arm being damaged really may have been an allusion to his Mirai self...Conan the SSJ wrote: ...it shares a coinciding with Preteen Gohan getting his arm damaged by Cell before the final Kamehame-Ha battle, as well as a mirroring parallel to GT Gohan having his opposite arm turned metal by Rilldo....

As Freeza bite-offy he is, I totally dig Cooler's transformed form. I think the combination of the Darth Vader-esque mouth thing with the pointy head is pretty badass

Good question.
I always thought Cell arc Vejita looked awesome, since the Saiyajin armor with codpiece design looked goofy, and I just didn't like his armor during the Freeza saga (though that may be in part due to the 'triangle' animator having his way with a bunch of those episodes). The Cell arc looked functional and cool.

This is a good question.
Well I like #18's design. I actually think Toriyama's females with the slanted-shaped eyes are prettier, even though it usually means the character is a villain. Plus she always has good fashion sense.
I've always thought Piccolo looked cool with his armored cape and general imposing look. Whoever thought too that green with pink could look awesome together?
Mirai Trunks design I also like. I think Toriyama did a really good job with his clothes and such and capturing the look of someone from the future.
It also counts for me to say Zangya since he designed Bojack's group too. XP She's just neat to me. I like the green/blue skin and ya gotta love all that hair! XD Plus Toriyama doesn't have too many female fighters so it's nice to see them when they are there.

Sorry but I had to post here again. What the hell was I thinking? Piccolo has the best character design, hands down. Piccolo, Piccolo Jr., and Kami are just plain perfect. The characters themselves are so simple looking but they all played a very important role in the dragon world.(Random note: I pay tribute to Piccolo and Dragonball itself in my stories by having some of the major characters where cloaks simular to big green.)
The Red Ribbon (DBZ) were always interesting to see. The twins seemed like everyday people which made there common designs seem so perfect for them. This is probably why I usually customize No.17 and 18 in my Budokai and Sparking games.. they are just...fun to use.
Even though I'm not much of a Vegeta fan, I don't think anyone else could pull off blue fighting tights looking badass (Buu Arc).
I'm probably going to be annoying and post again and again here but there are so many great character designs throughout the story...

Oh yeah, this is pretty general, but I like that shoulder padded Saiya-jinn armor. I always find time to draw at least one armor jacket in the margins of my notes
