Sword Art Online 2 and Inuyasha had over 1 million views this week. I would imagine most people would turn off the TV or do something else after Kill la Kill.

A great week for everyone.
I'm curious how you actually define things.

You've labeled this week a 'great week', but on the ratings from a week earlier, where Kai had better numbers in every way, you labeled as 'average'.

I question if you know how to actually read and go over the ratings, or if you are just pasting in the info and adding a random comment to make it appears you've done something.
When more than half of the shows on the block score over 1 million views, that counts as a great week for everyone in my opinion.

Hopefully that is not true since their electricity bill will be a bit higher now  . If they get over 1 million views then they normally do then I would imagine people must be watching them. I doubt people will keep their TV running until the Cleveland Show is back on at 3:30 AM.

Minus that it's not a great week for Kai... which is sort of the point of a DBZ site having a thread for this in the first place.

I wonder if they'll air the Buu Saga on there after they finish vanilla Kai?

But the strength of block as whole is also important to mention every now and again. Because while it's great if Kai does well in ratings, but if every other show doesn't perform up to standard, then the Toonami block as a whole will suffer. I mean, Toonami already lost half of the block it originally started with when it relaunched back in 2012 because the ratings as a whole, especially for shows after 3AM, weren't that great .

Realistically it never should have been as long as it was. But saying 'the block did great' ignores that the block did well DESPITE Kai being down. And since this thread is primarily about discussing Kai's ratings, not other shows, to ignore that somehow the entire block did well and Kai is down again.

Good week for DBZKai. I know its not the 1.7 it reached once but I think it will take a major event to see those numbers again. I know we will and I'm still happy with these numbers.

Here's the entire night for the curious.

12:00a Dragon Ball Z Kai 0.80 1157 0.51 653
12:30a Kill La Kill 0.80 1180 0.55 694
1:00a Michiko & Hatchin 0.76 1141 0.55 697
1:30a Sword Art Online 0.69 1080 0.54 690
[IMG]
2:00a Naruto: Shippuden 0.64 998 0.51 642
2:30a One Piece 0.60 888 0.45 574
3:00a Attack On Titan (r) 0.51 712 0.35 439

KLK beat Kai!! Damn! I never thought I would see that. I guess the Ginyu Force just aren't a draw. :(

I'm telling ya, when Freeza takes on the Z-Fighters, the ratings are gonna spike. Also, the DBZKai marathon should help bring in some extra viewers for the long run.

KLK is one of those shows is doing well due to word of mouth. It had a slow start, but things kick off when people hear good buzz about the show. Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online became big because they have bigger marketing put towards them. I still love KLK and I will be sad when it ends. I can see Super being on the 12:30 slot by next year since Toonami can have a hour block for Dragon Ball.

Actually I saw a Toonami promo explaining about a DBZ Kai marathon for July 4th weekend. I want to say it was 6 episodes that they were showing, along with the Attack on Titan finale. I was only halfway paying attention since it was the first time in a several weeks that I caught Toonami, but I'm pretty sure I got the details right.

Update: After a quick look on Youtube, sure enough the promo was uploaded
