I think Mirai Trunks looked really cool when he first showed up. Seriously, how many characters were given a sword and was as awesome. Plus, most of the main characters arent usually in normal clothes. It just made for some interesting contrast.

Trunks' peak in terms of appearance l33tness was Movie 9, in my opinion.

It would be 8, but he had the sword in 9. Sword > Long Hair with Full Jacket

Cell. It must have took a lot of time, effort, and talent to draw him

I gotta say Piccolo and Kami because there's just nothing else in anime like them. It's just so damn creative from the clothes to the muscles, you gotta wonder how he just came up with that outta the blue. I think all of Mr. Toriyama's designs are genius though, always simple yet effective.

Good Majin Buu, cause he is so funny! Being a big pink blob and still a villian (till after Buu saga)! And of course the things he says are also funny, "You want to play with Buu?" "Do you want to be candy or chocolate?"

To me, it's definitely Vegeta in the Cell arc. Like Corey said, that armour of his looked far cooler and sleeker than the earlier stuff he wore. Hell, I still think it's better than that new suit he wore in the Buu arc, but then that also has its moments :D

But I also like Piccolo's designs as well. He has an awesome cape, plus he can make clothes out of midair! Pimped :D

Mirai Trunks, Saiyan armor w/ sword, hair length irrelevent.

Super Dragonball Z and Budokai 3 GH have taught me this in such a way I will never forget.

Also, I love the Manga design for Piccolo Daimao and Junior in the colored chapters. I say Manga because of fingers and because I prefer yellow to pink. Overall, no matter what medium, Piccolo does always look amazing.

I'm gonna be really shallow and say Majin Vegeta because I don't think Toriyama has done a more badass looking character design. Vegeta's Buu saga outfit was awesome to begin with, but then add in the veins popping out his forehead and arms, the M insignia also on his forehead and the black eye shadow in either SSJ1 or 2 = Gangsta.

I totally forgot about that. Majin Vegeta looked pretty cool too.
I actually like all characters, except Buu, Buu just sucks.....

I'm just surprised to see a "grand total" of seven people saying that they enjoy Piccolo's design. Even if you don't like the character, you have to admit that his design is too badass. As for Vegeta, I really liked him in the Buu Arc. (Majin) Vegeta was perfect: tattered clothes, wounds for the battles, the majin insignia. He was as evil as it gets... 8)

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.

I'm going to be the only person to say this, but I like Guldo. I think his goofy appearance brings even more humour to the mighty Ginyu Force. I like the way he is the weakest member, the fact that he can’t even wear a scouter, has four eyes, and looks like a fish is funny. He brings some humour into the whole Freeza Saga.

I like it when he is fighting against Gohan and Kurrin and his special ability to freeze time when he holds his breath. I also think it’s great when Vegeta chops his head off, a original way to die in the world of Dragonball.

Nah, I like Guldo's design too. And speaking of goofiness, how about King Kai? I just have to wonder what Toriyama was on, I mean the guy looks like a cross between a catfish and a Smurf.

Piccolo cracks me up, but it's more his character, and not really his style or design...

Yeah, battle-damaged Majin Vegeta was especially awesome.

As for Piccolo, I really liked his look during the 23rd Budokai/very early Z-era; Piccolo during that era was truely one of the best characters Toriyama had written.

I also liked his Cell/Buu saga design too, it was a really stylish and clean look, but it lacked the rawness of early Piccolo (I suppose you can generally say the same thing about the two styles Toriyama used in the series).

I completely agree with that.

To me, Piccolo represents the essency of DragonBall (maybe evenmore than the Super Saiyan!).

I don't agree with that, Toriyama wanted to make a character that looked like an alien. He did, it looks good but it's hardly presents the essence of the show.
