Nothing yet. They've got two surprises left, and I get the feeling that with something like Super, they'll want to save it for last.
I saw it, and then I was a bummed. Oh well, it was worth hoping! I'm a little skeptical about it because of the very last line of their blog post. "And we didn’t forget Broadcast Dubs – so dub fans, stay tuned for announcements!" Though like you say, there could very well be be a nice surprise in those last two. I think you're right in that if one of those does happen to be Super, they'll hold that off and give it it's own press release.

Well I did say "for the most part" lol. I don't expect them to make an announcement in less than a week though as that would be weird. (awesome though!) Maybe they are saving it for later in the summer?

Oh, I know, I was just making it clear as I know some people will skim your post and assume finality.

As mentioned on the previous page, with something as big as Dragon Ball, I feel like they might want to save it for the upcoming Anime Expo to make the announcement. You know what FUNi are like, they love to make a big fuss over their baby.

After seeing that picture, one of those two empty slots has got to be Dragon Ball. I'm convinced. I wonder if it will be announcement of a weekly sub with Japan or if they've secretly been working on dubbing it?

Also, while off topic...a broadcast dub for One Piece would be lovely too  if not being too greedy!

I wonder if the kids are also gonna be horribly nerfed in this series like they are in the recent material, despite the original manga showing differently.

How are they horribly nerfed? They were stomping Abo and Cado without transforming, and everyone got stomped by Beerus.

That along with it changing every 20-25 episodes plus new eye catches every few episodes.

If anything, I think we're only stuck because:
-marketing to a shounen audience means it's improbable to allow Pan to be the sole main character which is a whole other topic altogether
-95!Toriyama having gone out of his way to make continuing off EoZ appear undesirable to himself so he wouldn't want to go back there (I think he probably could've written Uub in a way that was more interesting to himself if he had wanted to).
Except that there's no rule anywhere that Pan HAS to be sole main character, or even one of THE main characters. Post-EOZ new series could do anything, killing everyone and making Satan the main character & fighter included lol. That's one, 2 - DB is way bigger brand than just shounen audience (same as Sailor Moon is way bigger than shoujo audience). A smart studio would exploit that

I'm okay with everything except for that "opening theme changes every 20 episodes" part. That's something I've always admired about Dragon Ball. The opening themes aren't just random pop-star cash-ins that come and go every few weeks (*cough* Detective Conan *cough*). They're anthems. They stick with the series for years and years. They're woven into the musical score. They're inseparable from the show. "Makafushigi Adventure!" would be a lot less special if it were, say, "Dragon Ball opening four (used from episodes 56-78)." The restraint Toei shows by only having 1-2 opening themes per series is incredibly admirable.

Go ahead and have 'em change the ending theme every thirteen episodes. I won't care. But "Chōzetsu ☆ Dynamic!!" should be something that gives the staff enough confidence to say "y'know, we could use this theme for 200 episodes and nobody would mind." If it isn't, then the songwriters have failed.

Not that there's any pressure or anything!

A smart studio also would know anything that even remotely resembled GT would turn off a lot of people right off the bat. And Pan doesn't even need to be the main character to send away all the people allergic to her presence since GT. The average fan is like that.

Between the now legendary designs everyone got accustomed with and a post-EoZ scenario that only a handful of hardcore fans want to visit, what would they choose? There's so many obvious reasons why they won't go there..at least not yet.

I just hope dragon ball super doesnt end up being too childish cause i mean its 31 year old revived series. Most dragon ball fans right now are grown up's and there is already enough great anime's series like Attack on Titan and SAO that Dragon ball Super will have to compete against to stay at the top!

Although dragon was originally an adventure, gag series made to published for younger kids after the release of Dragon ball Z the series has been getting less kid friendly over time, DBZ is known to contain huge amount of violence, gore and mostly older lead characters in it. AKA: A story about 30 year old muscly looking dudes beating the crap out of each other.

I personally don't think were going to see any new lead characters beside Goku and Vegeta due to EoZ ending therefore I think Its important for Toei to give us that original Vibe to the story.

Why does everyone think Toriyama cares about EoZ and will make sure that DBSUPER doesn't have any contradictions beyond power levels? I really don't think he cares about that at this point, and he'll write whatever he feels like. Regardless on things like that.

Because I do think he cares about the ending of Z. Its just too iconic and if something was to be changed about it then it would mess up the GT storyline that is a big cash cow source for dragon ball heroes.

.
Toei only produces shows targeted towards children. It doesn't really matter how old the previous fans of the series are. It doesn't need to be similar to AoT or SAO(which was terrible) to be "at the top".

In what world has the series gotten less child friendly? I'd say it's the opposite. The series contains very little "gore". They don't even show blood very much anymore. The age of the characters don't really matter. The majority of One Piece characters, for example, are full fledged adults.

That doesn't mean its target audience suddenly is adults. If you see Dragon ball heroes, and the previous 2 movies its target audience are kids 8+

But those are so much different to Dragon Ball in tone and everything... :wtf:

I dont know much about how a show is considered a success but it doesnt have to be on top of those animes that their audience is surely teens and/or adults.
as far as I know Attack on titan was shown at midnight :wtf:

with a Manchild as its main character.

totally agree with this.

Toriyama has said GT is a side story, he already made Pilaf gang younger contrary to Gt where they are extreemly old...
Heroes always make whatever kind of story that seems to attract the attention (SSJ3 Trunks, Vegeta, Vegetto...) most of their stories dont go with the storyline of the animes...

Actually, kids don't really care about younger characters. Especially in DB. All the kids I know prefer the muscular Goku and Vegeta and barely care about Trunks and Goten. I have yet to meet one kid who likes Present Trunks more than Future Trunks.
The guys at Toei think they understand children but they really don't.

I must say the new Kanzenshuu presentation for the next episode's date looks amazing and very modern, and it goes very well with the modern animation style shown in the picture!
It really looks like "next-gen Dragon Ball".

Man, Super is going to be gorgeous, compared to the remastered footage from Kai, we'll finally get to see modern animation with amazing tone-perfect colors and reflections on the skin, a crisp image, probably a more stable artstyle between episodes...
But most of all, those perfect digital colors, and the capacity for Toei to correct anything on the fly much more easily than with old Z unified footage since they keep the layered file to reposition, redraw and recolor any stuff that would be wrong, as shown with Sailor Moon Crystal!
