I would like to add that I really like Vegeta's new casual wear, what little we can see of it.
On hiatus.

Wait, so this is really going to have new Dragon Balls. Does that mean that the 9 star Dragon Ball wasn't a mistake?
I ask thou, WHY MUST IT BE ME?
Your weakness is your strength.
Are you reading this? If you are, I just want to let you know that I'm a GREAT GUY.

Best comparison pic I could find of Trunks' jacket collar not completely popped, and a bigger, bleh-quality pic of Vegeta's new jacket. I wonder if it is supposed to be a jean jacket or just a collared button-up? If it's the same style of Future Trunks' jacket, that would be incredible. Not sure how Vegeta would look in a bolero-cut jacket though :/ I'm gonna draw that and see how it turns out xD

So? Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Super Sentai and Gundam are all made for children and yet they are older then DBZ. They still market the series for kids since they appeal to that age group. Dragon Ball is for kids 4 & up in Japan and always has been. I wish people would deal with that by now. People in Japan view anime like Sgt. Frog, DBZ, One Piece and Naruto no differently how Americans view shows like Ben-10, Adventure Time, TMNT and Ninjago. They view them as a kid shows and nothing else.
GokuRules987 wrote: DBZ is known to contain huge amount of violence, gore and mostly older lead characters in it. AKA: A story about 30 year old muscly looking dudes beating the crap out of each other.
The violence in the series was never that violent to begin with it. Sure it had blood once and a while, but nothing extreme. Some fans try to make DBZ feel like a R rated franchise on the likes of Mortal Kombat, Saw, Friday the 13th and Grand Theft Auto. Most of the violence you see in DB is no different then what you see in PG-13 movies in the last 5 or 10 years.

However, I feel like he could secretly enjoy it. I read one fanfic in which Bulma coaxes Vegeta into shopping with her to get him some new clothes, and he finds a jacket, jeans, etc. that he likes, and in particular, some boots that gave him a small height boost. Those especially caught his eye xD

alakazam^ wrote:To be honest, I think it's obvious the movies (at least KtK) are going to be retold and arguing otherwise doesn't hold much water. You have the "six months after Boo" statement, Champa appearing, Beers awake and remembering SS God. Unless the first episode has a further timeskip to years later after Boo, then we already saw Goku going to Kaiou's where, presumably, Beers will appear.
Until it's set in stone and we see it then I'm not buying it. I could care less if you think it doesn't hold much water. If you choose to believe it then that's your priority, but nothing is set in stone at the moment and until it is everything is speculation.

As much as I hate GT, I have to admit that I couldn't help but to love that episode where he goes shopping with Bra. Too bad they didn't show us the shopping process
If I remember correctly, there's a filler in the Boo arc where Bulma mentions Vegeta going shopping like it was something normal for him.

Yeah. It was something like, "Every time the grocery shopping takes more than an hour, Vegeta and Trunks just fly off!" Haha, what I would do to see a scene with Vegeta wandering around in a grocery store.

WHAT?! Is that line from the dub?

Yes. I believe it's in the episode "Celebrations With Majin Buu" when Bulma is carrying a bunch of groceries in her arms.

I knew it. I only watch the sub and it's so different.

Didnt he complain about his new armor being an old model style back in Namek?
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Yeah I know. To me Dragon Ball is between PG and PG-13. It has a violent moments, but it can be light heartted and tame as well. To me, I can careless if we don't have blood or gore. I won't mind seeing a saga or movie in the same tone as the Saiyan saga and Cell saga, but I feel like Dragon Ball should have a fair share of gags.

I don't mind if the blood and gore is toned down either, but if, for example, they go out of their way to animate a beam through the chest, then I'm gonna expect some blood around the wound and the character coughing up blood.

Things like that only happened a small number of times. Even then, they're not particularly gory. Gore has a lot to do with bloodshed.

Current Dragon ball would never get away with doing all of that due to censorship, especially in anime format. It'd end up how the Toriko anime ended up with its censorship.

Toriyama never changed this and never will. He might have considered having Gohan assume the mantle during serialization, but now it's just hopeless. If, and I mean IF he were to change the main character, he'd probably pick Goten, your one-dimensional Goku carbon copy. Post-EoZ we have Pan and Bra but they are girls, so only Oob has a chance (a very, very slim one though) and honestly, I don't find him that interesting.
Why sigh about Goku being the main character forever ? This is a story about Goku, him being the main character is how it is and should always remain. The story started with Goku and should end with Goku.

You wouldn't see shows like One Piece, Slayers, Inuyasha, Bleach etc, etc, change their main character.
