-30 years experience voicing goku
thats kinda my point, Nozawa is 78 years old. While being a very experienced actress, i know she voices tons of character besides Goku in other anime. It just seems like lot of work for her. i don't know how she does it

You tried to prove Piccolo was useless in order to prove to FortuneSSJ that he was, indeed, "fodder". So, I'm asking, why does usefulness matter when they were talking about strength?DBZGTKOSDH wrote:What does Vegeta have to do with this?Doctor. wrote:Vegeta has never done ONE useful thing in the series, so what's your point here?

He surprassed the super saiyans when he fused with Kami. Until they came out from Time Chamber, the strongest Z Fighter was a Namekian.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:He never managed to catch up to the Super Saiyans.FortuneSSJ wrote:That's true, but Piccolo was still useful anyway.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

My point is that even though he became the strongest hero for a while, he didn't do anything. Even though he wasn't "fodder", he was still useless.Doctor. wrote:You tried to prove Piccolo was useless in order to prove to FortuneSSJ that he was, indeed, "fodder". Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Piccolo did have his one chance to shine against the androids during the early cell saga, not long after they had beaten the crap out of Vegeta and the others. And if we are having Buu and Beerus making regular contributions to the team in the future, we could well have a team that is no longer all about the Saiyans. Depends entirely where the story goes with that one.FortuneSSJ wrote:He surprassed the super saiyans when he fused with Kami, until they came out from Time Chamber.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:He never managed to catch up to the Super Saiyans.FortuneSSJ wrote:That's true, but Piccolo was still useful anyway.

Notice how the most irrelevant cast members are also the weakest.
That's why everyone besides Goku became a useless jobber by the time the Boo arc came about. They literally accomplished nothing the entire time due to the fluctuation in power and the stupidity of their actions. This was also the case in the artificial human Saga. They try to do something but they fall flat on their face in the end. They'd often end up making the threats more dire.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
No it doesn't. Like I said, Vegeta has consistently been one of the strongest and he has done NOTHING useful in the series thus far.Cursemark505 wrote:That's the only way anyone can be useful in this series.

Bulma doesn't even fight and she's the most useful character besides Goku.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Off topic.... Vegeta has plenty of use. He killed Nappa, and the ginyu force plus the majority of Freeza's army, he caused cell's death and he saved the universe with his plan to kill Buu.
At least the stills of super look to be pretty high quality. I just hope that it holds up in motion unlike the Kai openings.

Nappa and the Ginyu Force were all garbage compared to Goku at that point, so they were no threat. Maybe they could have had a change of heart if he didn't kill them, who knows, but they would pose no threat to Goku & co that's for sure. The same with Freeza's army. All he did to stop Cell was hit him with a small blast while in base, ay of the other characters could have done the same and he almost fucked the universe up by telling Goku to do a Genkidama instead of just wishing for Gohan and Gotenks to come and fight Boo instead.TheMajinRedComet wrote:Off topic.... Only useful thing he has done was creating Trunks.

-with a Vegeta family Final Flash attack
-defeating kid buu
that'd been cool....
but the giant Spirit bomb powered by all the people earth/universe was cool too. I always wished goku cries for help would have lead to the earthlings helping instead of Mr.Satan being the most important character of the final battle.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I personally think most characters have had their useful moments, even Vegeta. If it wasn't for Vegeta then Zarbon / Dadoria / The Ginyu force / Freeza would have killed Krillin, Gohan and Bulma before Goku even arrived on Namek. Piccolo would also not have been wished back and the Z fighters would have remained dead.Doctor. wrote:Nappa and the Ginyu Force were all garbage compared to Goku at that point, so they were no threat. Getting Cell&Buu killed isn't useful ?Doctor. wrote:Vegeta has never done ONE useful thing in the series, so what's your point here?

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
There all pretty worthless, mostly because of there ego's, even Gohan has a huge ego. This is actually a common thread among strong characters.

Any character could have done the same he did against Cell, and he wasn't the one who got Boo killed...?sintzu wrote:Getting Cell&Buu killed isn't useful ?Doctor. wrote:Vegeta has never done ONE useful thing in the series, so what's your point here?

You can say this about anything but the fact of the matter is,Vegeta was the one who did it.Doctor. wrote:

Wasn't he the one who told Goku to use the Genki dama ?

And yet none of the other characters did, (Well except for the dumb anime which just trying to make them not look absolutely worthless). He also helped give Goku time against Buu, and what gives you so much confidence Gohan or Gotenks could've destroyed Kid Buu for good?
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I think they would've toyed with him until he found a way to kill or absorb them and even if they tried to kill him chances are they wouldn't have been able to cause Buu can't be killed by normal fighting and attacks.Retan wrote:What gives you so much confidence Gohan or Gotenks could've destroyed Kid Buu for good ?
