Anyone know when Dragonball, VOL7 will get released?

Post by sangofe » Sat Apr 17, 2004 5:18 am

TV SERIES VOLUME # 7 "Tien Shinhan".

I'm wondering when if anyone has any information on when this will get released...
Will it be before the end of this summer?
I REALLY hope they wont wait until they get back rights for db 1-13 so they can release both at the same time...

Not that I've seen. As far as I remember, the Baba saga was announced about 5 months before it was released, so I doubt we'll get it before summer. Maybe they'll wait until they've released all the Cell Games DVDs first, or something.

I estimate around mid-August. Where on earth is movie 9 also?

By the way, I don't mean to stir up trouble but aren't you the same guy that says FUNimation's DVD's and stuff are crap?

As long as he actually BUYS the DVDs to rip the subs from...

I think it's funny how people want to rip off Clyde and Steve, who are actually DOING THINGS for them...

Well it's not illegal, so long as he doesn't plan on selling them...but from the sounds of it that's probably it. You see those little FBI warnings at the begining? It's called a federal offence.

It's illegal if you don't actually purchase the FUNimation DVDs. You're not just paying for the video stream; you're paying for the rights to view the video, listen to the audio, and read the subtitles.

You didn't translate them yourself; they were professionally done, and for a price. You don't get to just take them for yourself.

Yeah, that's what I meant. As long as he just planned on buying the episodes, then ripping the sub to a disc to make his own 'dragonbox' for novelty...but that sounds less and less likely the more i say it o.0

You should apoligize to me for coming with accuses like these!
NO!!!
I am NOT Going to sell dragonbox dvds with subs!
Are you guys trying to piss me off or something?
I can easely buy the dvds cheap at ebay auctions and sell em for about the same price, so please do not try to piss me of.

Umm... excuse me... this is exactly the kind of nonsense we were talking about when I asked you to please change your conduct on this board... you're REALLY walking on a thin wire, at this point.

No-one accused you of anything directly at all. We're merely discussing the legality of the matter. No-one, in any way, shape, or form, even SUGGESTED that you were going to be creating subbed "Dragon Box" DVDs for sale.... AT ALL. AT. ALL.

If you want to create them for your own enjoyment, that's perfectly fine, so long as you actually purchase the FUNimation DVDs for the legal rights to view and own the subtitles. After that, do whatever the bloody Hell you want with them, provided you don't re-sell them (which is what I assume you're talking about).

Don't piss YOU off? Oh please. I'm putting you on a temporary ban for a week. Someone better remind me on the 25th, because I'm sure to forget from lack of caring in the least.

EX, isn't ripping the subs and putting them for his "dragonbox" whatever ONLINE, and having other people download it, illegal? Because thats what he has done in the past from what I remember and even people from the DBZOA were getting annoyed because he was now ripping TOEI off...

Hm it seems you've been temp. banned, so you probably won't see this for a week, but I didn't try to accuse you of anything. I was merely pointing out that such activities were illegal, and after all it does sound suspicious. But far be it from me to suspect your morality.

Because it's obviously fine to steal from evil-wicked-just-in-it-for-the-money FUNImation, but ripping of Super-Cool-Do-Anything-To-Please-All-Fans-In-All-Countries TOEI? A crime worthy of hanging!

TOEI are bigger money grubbers than Funimation will ever be in my opinion. Plus Funi's been trying really hard lately to be a better company that serves the fans better and I applaud them for that. It's amazing that they're going to release Kodomo no Omocha, a very long and fan-specific series. A lot of the bigger companies that have been around much longer didn't even want to touch it, despite fans' requests.

Wow EX don't you think you're being a little too hard on the poor guy? I mean it's not like he knows the English language all that well, it's more like he was trying to say how he feels. I think you went a little too far with that one.

EX has been more than fair to sangofe. He has warned him in two other previous threads since this forum started. He has a tendency to get aggressively defensive and then start verbally attacking other forum members. Believe me, EX gives people a lot of chances and is quite reasonable.
