God, didn't your hear!? Any episode not involving fighting is filler! Yup, disregard the fact that a show with no source material can't have filler. It sounds boring to me so it has to be! ^/s

On a serious note, I'm actually really happy if that newspaper is correct. Slice of life Dragon Ball would make me so happy. Primarily, it's incredibly entertaining, but I'm also a twisted individual who enjoys salty tears, so there's that, too.

All-right, your sarcasm hits all the way home; oh my God, I called it filler, such cardinal sin on my part, how ever can I repent?

I should've said "slice of life I don't care for because I like DB for the action; not the "Goku & Goten kawaii desu ne~isms."

Yeah, I believe that image on the top right is extremely old. We're talking Z days, I think.

Bulma's parents' designs are recycled, too. The image of Vegeta's training orbs are extremely old, I think. Pretty sure they're from Z, though possibly Battle of Gods.

I'm not convinced there's actually anything genuinely new on that page!

The funny thing is, that live event wasn't even part of the countdown, it was the pictures of billboards instead.
With a little more than 48 hours until the premiere, i'm not expecting them to drop anything major, especially after the event. Maybe a picture of the opening or something like that tomorrow..

If a slice of life episode has nothing to do with the main plot, and can literally be skipped and you lose nothing, then yes it's filler. If it builds on character somehow, then it ain't filler. I don't count just seeing Goku use a tractor, building his character at all.

Though for anyone hoping for it to be mostly slice of life...yeah right. This is a battle shonen series. If it actually did that, I doubt this series would last that long. Then again a couple U.S. shows have gotten away with it, so who knows.

I'm surprised they apparently changed the way episodes are titled.
It was usually made of two sentences, but now the titles are shorter, with only one sentence.

I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing, just surprised they suddenly decided to change the way they make their titles.

Won't Goku be training with Kaioh at this point? I'm assuming he's going there right after he gets Satan's money. Maybe that scene with Chichi scolding Kame has something to do with it.
If so, probably the first episode will focus on the Son family, then the 2nd one will show what Vegeta and Bulma were up to, leading up to that scene where Vegeta is powering up for some reason.

I don't count just seeing Goku use a tractor, building his character at all.

And here i was thinking he would bond with Goten and that getting the money that allows him to ditch his job and go training with Kaioh would be relevant!

In all seriousness though, seeing Goku out of his comfort zone can very well be considered character development.

How... What... I don't even care anymore. It's not EoZ, it doesn't even start after F. This is all I needed to hear to get me totally hyped! If the second episode is an actual BRIEFS FAMILY TRIP... Wow. It was one of my highest hopes for the series to feature family moments, and with THIS in addition to Goku and Goten moments is fantastic.

Can you please explain what your actual opinion is?

It seems like you're disregarding the entire show based on the title of its second episode. Is this accurate? Why do you feel this is an appropriate stance to take?

No, this is not confirmed. It's not necessarily an all-inclusive list that was stated. We do not have 100% concrete statements about how long it will last, all the types of arcs, etc.

Quite frankly, they're probably making it all up as they go (just as Toriyama originally did with the manga).

"Vegeta's Family Trip"? It's sounding like Super is shaping up to be the goofy slice-of-life Dragon Ball anime I've always wanted. I'm really getting pumped!

If Goku and Vegeta are meant to be the to main characters it makes sense to have the first episode focus on Goku's family after Buu and the second on Vegeta's. I'm curious if there will be anymore like this before the BoG arc starts.

Just allow me some room for some over-elation "Vegeta family time" is long overdue in the series, and I'm also glad they're kicking off the series with some moments with Goku and Goten. It was one of my highest hopes that they'd begin the series in this way.
