Ah, more character drawings of Lady!Whis (love that hair swish). I wonder why her name's a secret, I kind of expected it to be revealed in the start guide. I guess her name will be revealed later on in the series and not in the first episode like I believed.

I hope they don't show Vegeta in the SSG form, I don't think it'll look very nice on him.

Well, assuming things don't deviate too far from the movie versions of Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F', it's something which logically happened at some point. I think it feels like a little bit of a cheat to not see how or why this occurred, given that it's a pretty major thing for his character in terms of keeping up with Goku. Plus if they're keeping the method of achieving the form the same as in the movie, they'd have to get a group of 6 Saiyans together again to do it... so I'd imagine it's something a little more interesting than just "Vegeta asked them to all get together to transform him because he was bored and wanted to keep up with Goku". Knowing his pride, he'd wait until there was a reason to do it and then make sure to take the spotlight by undergoing the ritual.

Obviously if Resurrection 'F' is the second major arc the events surrounding his initial transformation can't be too major, but a short 6-8 episode mini-arc in-between the first two major ones showing the circumstances around Vegeta's transformation and ending with him and Goku leaving to train with Whis would be a pretty cool addition, IMO. It'd probably be the only time we'd see SSJG Vegeta anyway, so even if you didn't like the form it'd probably be over and done with fairly shortly in the overall scheme of things.

On a similar note, I know I've seen at least one person elsewhere stating that SSJ3 Vegeta should make an appearence in the series' version of the "How dare you touch my BULMAAAA!" sequence (again, this is assuming the plot's followed fairly closely). I don't have any personal interest in seeing SSJ3 Vegeta canonised, but at the same time I can appreciate that it'd be a cool moment for those who've been holding out for him to achieve the form at some point.

Yeah, Vegeta will look really awful as a SSJG. Those eyes, and he already looks skinny thanks to the current art style. I don't want to see him turn into a stickman.

I want to see Gokû learn more about what ssjg can do over the "in-between reBOG and reF" episodes. Have him figure out how he did what he did to stop Beerus' giant attack at the end of BOG.

I'm interested in finding out what circumstances led to Vegeta getting ssjg; though right now I like the theory someone (forgot who) said about him making everyone at Bulma's party stop and give him the power-up before they all went home.

It's just a gag comic, not something serious from the series - the gag being that, in this strip, Champa is really just Beerus being inflated with air like a balloon. XD

I must've not fully been awake when I saw that earlier; how could I miss that they included those unused fun Vegeta reaction faces from the BOG mook and even added more fun Vegeta reaction faces to the collection! ( O u O )

Meaning we might actually get to see those expressions animated! *Is super-excited about this.*

Does anyone know what the Super Start Guide says about Kid Vegeta's hair on this page (in the yellow box)? His lack of bangs in "Battle of Gods" annoyed me, so I'm kind of hoping it's an explanation! lol

You've already seen the major ones, but here's a bunch of other shots from the magazine, just in case anyone's interested. A lot of it is just recycled bits and bobs, but they're cool enough to look at again, so why not! There's some larger/new shots from the upcoming episode, too.

I was wondering about that too. Maybe he was a little older in the shot without hus bangs?

And I'm pretty neutral on seeing him go SSG. Seeing him in his resort vacation form would be rather nice though! I'm fully expecting mischief from Trunks and Goten, so even if Vegeta doesn't want to partake in any fun at the pool, maybe they can give him a little push
