Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I don't really feel it's him being forgetful. It's more of a, "We ran 100 miles to train for the race in 2011, but for this race we're going to run 10 miles" It just doesn't seem to add up. Yes they didn't train for the andriods in 10x gravity, but it did turn out that they should have. As evidenced by the fact they had to spend all that time in the ROSAT. [(Which is still more effective than 10x gravity alone) Though I understand they can't use it again.]
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
They can use the RoSaT as much as they like, especially, if Goku is going to start out stronger than Gohan in this series.ffxiimaniac wrote:I don't really feel it's him being forgetful. All he has to do, is shout real much, when he wants out.

Not in the manga, so one of those. (Like the anime-only thing of him being able to reverse any damage they suffer while training or whatever.)ArchedThunder wrote: Also can't Kaio change the gravity on his planet? Or is that an anime/dub thing?

I wish there was a legal, legitimate way for me to view the episode with subtitles right after it airs. Waiting for that stuff is so hard. Who knows when Funimation will get around to a sub or dub.Chuquita wrote:I'm grateful for the time difference, it'll air Saturday 8:00pm EST. :3

I'm holding out hope that Funi announces the simulcast at Anime Expo in the next couple hours.bleed0range wrote:I wish there was a legal, legitimate way for me to view the episode with subtitles right after it airs. I've heard that unsavory means were unreliable last Saturday; I know that at least with an official legal stream from Funi it wouldn't be unreliable.
I thought I read they have a panel from 3-something to 5pm?
On hiatus.

More or less one day.
The Dragon Ball years from back then are back, with one brand-new episode every week, and lots of surprises ahead! (come on, who would have thought they'd see Vegeta taking his family to a holiday trip anytime soon?)
Yes, you are about to see episode 1, having only generic info on what episode 2 is about, and absolutely no idea of what episode 3 is about.
Live the Dragon Ball weekly discovery anew, with next-gen audiovisual and the author himself backing it up!
The Dragon Ball years are back... and ready to kick ass!

Keep us posted about Funi. If I have to suscribe, I freaking will.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
One of the best things about a weekly series they're making up as they go is, if something is not quite working... then Toriyama can come up with something else that might work better on the fly like he did back with the manga. Stuff like his editor telling him he didn't like the Cell design until Perfect Cell. If he doesn't get it perfect from the get-go, we may see them just change directions suddenly based on viewer reaction.
Probably one of the more awesome things about this being a series instead of just a movie. I can't wait for Super! It feels so much more like an epic adventure when it goes on for a long time, episode to episode.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Are we gonna have episode threads? Will this one continue but should we avoid giving spoilers?
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Speaking of which, the weekly Shonen Jump will bring new episode information always two weeks ahead, since the magazine leaks earlier. That can become very spoilerific later, like when they're in the middle of a fight or something.Cold Skin wrote:More or less one day.

That may take a while, but it definitely happens. Like Toei did recently in Saint Seiya Omega, they brought back classic characters in a more active role for the 2nd season due to fan demand, among other changes.bleed0range wrote:One of the best things about a weekly series they're making up as they go is, if something is not quite working... then Toriyama can come up with something else that might work better on the fly like he did back with the manga. Just one more day
There should be one created tomorrow before the episode airs that will be closed until the episode has already aired like with kaiLightBing wrote:Are we gonna have episode threads? Will this one continue but should we avoid giving spoilers?
Sleeping until the tournament is over.

F-for a split second I thought it said "Dragon Ball Z Singing with Schemmel, Sabat, and Ayers" and I wondered what that was gonna be like. It says "Signing".
Here's the Funi panel schedule for this weekend though:

If Funi get Super on a Simulcast is it possible that I could get a subscription in the UK? Or is it region locked?

Last I checked, most of the stuff on their site isn't available here in the UK.Sora Saiyan wrote:If Funi get Super on a Simulcast is it possible that I could get a subscription in the UK? Or is it region locked?

It would be region locked, but they are ways around it whereby you would still be able to pay money for the product and get it mostly legitimately.Sora Saiyan wrote:If Funi get Super on a Simulcast is it possible that I could get a subscription in the UK? Or is it region locked?
It's a grey area, and I'm unsure of what Kanzenshuu's official position is on the idea of using proxy servers to bypass region restrictions on Anime Streaming services, but I imagine that in the event that Super is licensed for streaming, that the subject will get more attention on here.
In the meantime, I suggest doing some research of your own on the matter. It's actually very, very simple.

Use a proxy. It might be slow, though, and downloading with proxies doesn't always work.Sora Saiyan wrote:If Funi get Super on a Simulcast is it possible that I could get a subscription in the UK? Or is it region locked?

If you're willing to pay you can just use VPNs. Not much, and it should get around that issue.Blade wrote:It would be region locked, but they are ways around it whereby you would still be able to pay money for the product and get it mostly legitimately.Sora Saiyan wrote:If Funi get Super on a Simulcast is it possible that I could get a subscription in the UK?
