Man I almost had a heart attack when i saw Goku struggling against that tree trunk in the beggining, but i guess he was thinking about something since he had no problem ripping it off with one hand and the roots.
Dont give screw attack any ideas on their next goku vs superman battle XD

Man, I never laughed at Toriyama's humor, but while I was watching the episode, I couldn't help but to smile and crack up.

The Master Roshi cameo was out of nowhere and awesome. I loved it and the rest of the episode. My favorite scene was when Beerus blew up the planet with the tap of his finger, though. I want more of that in the series.

The only downsids to this is that now I have to wait a whole week to see a new episode . It could be worse, though. Some series, like Sherlock, have horrible wait times.


Also, this first episode is much better than GT's to me.

I haven't had the opportunity get to watch it since I just got in from a show, but reading you guys posts have me properly hyped!

I saw the comment of them not having the authority to work on it yet. I wonder if what I read earlier today about Toei outsourcing for a dub of the first three episodes of World Trigger has anything to do with it. I wonder if their waiting to see how that is received to see if they want to do something similar to Super. I certainly hope not. I think it'd be even worse now to pull the show away from Funimation and change the cast compared to when the whole cast shifted back in the day.

I don't think that'll happen though, because Funi had the promo image from Super at Anime Expo, meaning they must be part-way through getting the full rights (I hope).

That was a fun episode! I actually like the Theme, and the OP and ED are pretty awesome. I got some major feels at the part in the ED when the whole cast is together at the sunset :') It's so surreal to have a brand new series with the characters we all know and love.

I'm VERY much looking forward to next week's episode. The preview at the end with Vegeta in the crowd, ha ha, I wonder what's going on? Looks like he'd had just about enough of that hustle and bustle.

Do anyone thinks that the aliens that Beerus destroyed in the anime are bad designed? I mean... Generic humanoid pigs? We have a lot of those in Earth... Man, the manga aliens were better than then, don't know why they changed

The opening song is just... horrendous. It has no "shonen spirit" whatsoever. The singing voice sounds just terrible. Regarding the ending song, it feels very GT. It reminds me a lot of 3rd GT ending. I quite like it a lot! I will most likely post my thought on animation for the first episode tomorrow.

I disagree. The pig aliens had their own alien look compared to ordinary pig people like you would see on Earth like Oolong. The aliens had a different skin color, ear shape, and even hair cut depending on the individual. They even had their own unique facial characteristics that made each and every one of them even more easily distinguishable from the other. The king was particularly interesting due to his tusks and regal clothing. Does Oolong or any other pig man we've seen in Dragon Ball have blue or green skin? Nope. Pointy ears? I don't think so. Hair? Not that I know of. Now let's compare that to the manga where the insect aliens essentially have the same faces and the only differences between them are that they're some are fatter than others or are more stretched out. The king here is differentiated from the others by being slightly fatter than the others and having a cape. No horns, crown, or even a name tag that says 'King'. Just a cape. Sadly the aliens in the manga look like caterpillars with sentience and nothing more than that really.

While I'm sure there are others that agree with you and feel free to disagree with me if you will, but I'd personally take the pig aliens over the very generic (in my opinion) caterpillars any day of the week.

However, I will say that I really enjoyed the Goku image training and Beerus calling out the poison from the manga and regret that it wasn't included in the anime.

So who do you guys think these new characters are? Universe 6 villians? They can't be Freeza henchman because Goku and Vegeta don't have their FnF outfits on.

Edit: I just noticed their hands look really weird in those last 2 shots , you can't see that when it's in motion though. I guess it's not meant to be paused and looked at like that.

1) Uni 6 really is a parallel universe and these guys are henchmen to whoever Uni 6's Freeza counterpart is? It's Kakarrotto. Just kidding. Or am I?

2) We don't get the F outfits in Super's version of F's storyline?

I can't bring myself to say it's just a goof-up because I know the way Toei purposely lays out their Precure opening animation storyboards. I doubt this is in there just to have a few seconds of battle.
