Super announcement - Is it worth to watch BoG and F?
Now that it is confirmed by Mr.Toriyama itself, that BoG and F will be adapted to Super, is it worth to watch them, or wait for Super adaptation? It kinda remind me of Madoka Magica Movie trilogy, where first two movies were just recaps of series (Missed few scenes, but animation was enhanced) but in reverse

Re: Super announcement - Is it worth to watch BoG and F?
Bummer, I came to find out if the two movies are still canon. I was hoping the show would continue after Resurrection F, but after reading the manga, I was worried it'd just be redone for the show. I'd say it's still worth watching the films, if not for just the pure enjoyment, then for the sake of comparing and contrasting.

If you don't like spoilers then you shouldn't watch the 2 movies. Even if the retellings are largely different, major characters, concepts, new transformations etc will get spoiled
Re: Super announcement - Is it worth to watch BoG and F?
This is the problem I have with what they're doing. They're effectively making the 2 new popular successful movies redundant from a storytelling standpoint. The fact that they have to rehash them both already just strikes me as incredibly lazy, as if they can't be bothered to come up with anything new. They had the multiple universes idea to run with, but instead of that they're essentially opting to rearrange what we've already seen. After so many years of fans asking for new content, and the success of the recent movies being largely down to the fact they were 100% new, I'd have thought they'd have realized that re-polishing stuff we've already seen isn't the way forward.
I just can't help but feel that they're asking for trouble by going in this direction. Wasn't the main reason Kai underperformed in Japan because it was just the same old content reworked? Things with the franchise have been going greatly these past couple of years. There's literally so many other ways they could easily keep things going smoothly, so why go the lazy route with things now? I mean what happens when a new movie comes out now? People will opt not to see it because they're afraid of it spoiling Super for them, or will instantly dismiss it simply because it's "non-canon" like they do with GT. I could be wrong and things could work out fine, but I can't say I have much faith in this idea at the moment.

Go ahead and watch the movies. I can't speak for FnF yet, but BoG is fun and a great watch. Even if the plots will be covered in Super, they'll most likely just be expanded upon. It won't be the exact same in the films, and I'm sure there will be great stuff to see in each. Watch it all, enjoy it all for what it is. That's what I plan to do.
