I'd forgotten about them myself because of how distracting Toy Train Passenger Vegeta is, but this jogged my memory; I hope those rivals are Uni 6 Gokû and Vegeta. (≧▽≦)
Go Princess Vegeta, go!

A: No comment. Personally, I’m conflicted over whether or not I want to see that (laughs).
Huh? How can you be conflicted about something like that? A depiction of Freeza's training conditions would settle a lot of the power inconsistencies that people had about Freeza in Resurrection F.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

Probably means we won't get it . Hopefully we can get at least a MENTIONED of his training. Connect it to U6 maybe?

Oh please, Toriyama! Show us how Freeza trained! But I hope isn't something silly like just normal push-ups, sit-ups and drink a lot of juice.
I would like they asked Toriyama about the conflicts that Super will had with the past movies
And about Bulma's Party being in a ship... So the Z-Fighters fighting against Beerus in a party close to Capsule Corp. in BoG will be indeed filler, right?
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
Summary of the Q&A - Goku Goku Goku it's all about Goku. Someone please lock that "Younger generation as main heroes in Super" thread, it just looks more naive as more Super stuff is revealed...

anything on GT Goku
Jaco the Super Elite with The Great Saiyaman fighting crime for a spin-off series. Make it happen Toriyama
Anyone else think FUNimation might have delayed their simulcast to announce it at Comic Con? You don't get a bigger convention for geeky things in the US than that.
Given it was so close to Super's debut, maybe they would think the massive splash it could make at such a big venue would be worth a week delay.
Or maybe I'm just hoping for the best. Still, it would be nice.

Good! I hope they keep Goku there forever!
I dont want a show to become about bunch of teenagers, besides you have to understand that its almost impossible to find an actual replacement for Goku because none of the cast other than Vegeta even cares about training or fighting. Even Uub do you think he came to a martial arts tournament just to fight? Hell No! He came there to earn money for his village. You see none of the cast in the show will ever be able to replace Goku because they dont have the saiyan fighting and training attitude that would make them capable enough to be prepared to counter any future threat that appears.
Goku is simply the perfect character for the DBS because he always trains, he always surpasses his limits and he always remains positive every time he fights a new opponent. And until we find someone that fits that same lore, It will not be safe for Goku to just pass down his torch and let the younger generation protect the earth and universe.

It's not "until we find", it's "until they write someone like that", which they apparently don't intend to do. That Goku replacement can come at any time they want to.
Also Oob likes the prospect of training with Goku and even agreed with him that fighting strong opponents is fun.

When hes a kid sure, but his main goals are completely different compared to the goals that goku had when he was a kid. Goku's main goal upon entering the tournaments was to fight strong opponents and get stronger, Uub main goal and motivation to not lose is that so he could win the prize money for his parents. And Goku basically convinced him to train with him because he still didn't even know how to fly. I mean if the teacher goes his way to train his student then what does it tell about the student's motivation wanting to train, than if it was the student that came to his teacher or in other hand Uub finding Goku to ask him to train him.

At the end of the day it's his show and story but that doesn't mean other characters won't get to shine and play major roles in it.

You can't just replace someone like Goku with a random new character.
The story will suffer and the franchise's income will fall like a rock.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

You don't have to find a new character, you can re-write anyone else in the group as long as it's reasonable.
It's obvious the sales will drop if they ever replace Goku, that's why they're never gonna do that and that's why many people, including myself, are sad they aren't.
Q: Will Goku get stronger than SSGSS? A: This is the #1 thing to look forward to in “DB Super”. I want him to get stronger, myself.
I thought Toriyama wanted to keep the power gap between Beers and Goku as large as possible, SSGSS already shortens the gap as it is, if Goku gets more power ups he'll end up surpassing Beerus all together.

Why can''t Beerus get stronger...? I don't see why not, Whis is still training him after all, and we never knew how strong Beerus was before or how his power compared to every other character so his jumps in power wouldn't illogical or unreasonable at all.

Who do you replace him with ? who has the one thing that Goku has that makes DB what it is ?
Replacing him would be like trying to give someone else the cape and cowl cause no matter how you look at it Bruce is the only man who can truly be Batman.

What does Goku have that makes DB what it is? You don't have to replace Goku, putting him in the sidelines won't hurt, as they've done with him plenty of times before. Only instead of putting him in the sidelines for a while, it's for a long time. The next generation stepping up doesn't mean that Goku will never show up again, why do people get this ridiculous idea? lol
