It wasn't a question. The topic was meant to be informative, not interrogative.

Is there any official source from Akira Toriyama or Studio Toei you can provide to prove that they have defined it in context of Dragon Ball as "side-story = not canonical = out of continuity x"? Because, if you do not have such a thing for your reasoning, you don't know that it is not non-canonical. Undefined is not the same thing as a state of non-existence.

Toriyama ignored GT in all ways possible? Also, for the last time- it shows Hell (which differs from Toriyamas version) and Cooler (non canon movie character) escaping from it and Dragon Fist attack (from non canon 1995 movie). I wont respond to this thread anymore...

So to put it in a nutshell you don't have a source and it is just your interpretation of ambigious things and you don't know it. Okay, just wanted to be sure.

If Coola escapes out of Hell then that would mean that Movie 6 happens and that movie can't fit anywhere in the timeline of the show. Maybe if Toei just had Bojack or Hirudegarn flying out of Hell then it won't have been a big issue.

You are right exactly when either Akira Toriyama or Studio Toei decide to make a actual, unequivocal statement about the canonicity management that excludes Dragon Ball Grand Tour. Before that you are not. Any ambigious things will not lead to what you and other think and which seems "logical" because it it excludes too many variables to just cime to that conclusion. And inconsistencies like Cooler are (who is not even that inconsistent because he can fit easily with just some small details changed and even if not, Dragon Ball is a good example of artistic freedom where authors just decide to include something because they want to) really no reason to throw away an entire series.

GT is now treated as an alternate timeline, but that doesn't make it non-canon. It's still acknowledged by video-games after all.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Maybe with Movie 5, but not with Movie 6. Return of Coola can't fit anywhere no matter where you try to put it. It can't be in the three year training period because no one knows where New Namek is at until Goku went to see King Kai in the later part of the Cell saga. Not to mention Dende is the Kami of Earth until he doesn't become one until later, no one was surprise to see Vegeta there and that he is a SSj. It can't be during the Cell games 7 day break given how Gohan is the same height as Krillin, Gohan can't go SSj, Trunks is nowhere to be seen, neither Goku or Vegeta go beyond SSj. Coola in GT is a plot hole since he was officially killed off in Movie 6 when they blew up the last parts of him from what I can recall.

I think GT at this rate is just another alternate timeline and Trunks changing history give birth to infinite different timelines that exist in Universe 7. I think if Toriyama said if GT took place in another timeline then I think fans would be cool with that.

Cooler being in GT is as much a "plothole" as Gregory and Satan's disciples being in Super.

A plothole has to actually contradict something. Cooler being in GT does not. One would have to assume that GT follows the exact same events as Movies 5 and 6, which is a fact that is not in evidence.

And while all of this is incredibly fascinating, it is off-topic.
