Welp, Krillin is a dead man. But the power of comedy will most likely save him.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Unless I'm remembering wrong, Kuririn having died was almost seen as one of the sole sources of trauma for Kakarot when it comes to having wiped out humanity, earlier in the main comic, right? If so, I'm actually almost imagining Kuririn's death being some sort of accident, rather than him just going 'oh wow, so you are a human, bye bye *blast*'.
At least, I'd think it would take them getting to know each other a bit better than what they have so far first.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Kakarot has not yet been trained by muten roshi, he maybe didn't even get as much training from Gohan.
If Kuririn is at his Budokai level Krillin could wreck his shit easily.
I hate fics where Kakarot amounts to anything he was 3rd class trash he only amounted to anything because he worked hard and did so under wise masters who taught him about life as well as martial arts.
Kakarot should never even get past Raditz level.
AU's regularly miss the point of all this, and now this personality isn't even consistent with the latest DB-verse stuff, Saiyans are pure evil by default like in some racist tolkein-esque nonsense. Although we can't fault DBM for this too much as they started plotting before DB's modern stuff.

I still expect Kakarot to be the one that kills him, it seems like his human killing isn't entirely conscious. Like, he'll bond with Kuririn a bit more, find out Kuririn is human, quasi-black out and kill him, and then be extremely distressed.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Unless I'm remembering wrong, Kuririn having died was almost seen as one of the sole sources of trauma for Kakarot when it comes to having wiped out humanity, earlier in the main comic, right? Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Oh I'm still expecting that too. Looking back, I should've phrased my post a bit better - I don't doubt Kakarot being the one that kills Kuririn, I just doubt it happening so quickly after meeting Kuririn as he has just now. It'll either be something he's forced to do/does by accident/blacks out and does, but I don't think it's going to happen until near the end of this chapter at best.Saiga wrote:I still expect Kakarot to be the one that kills him, it seems like his human killing isn't entirely conscious. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Maybe Kakarot turns Great Ape and accidentally crushes Krillin, like how Goku accidentally crushed Grandpa Gohan
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

Maybe someone cut Kakarotto tail and it will just grow back later? In series, Goku lose tail few weeks before 21th Budokai, and it grow back during Jackie Chun fight?

All is well and good now, but when the ending rolls around...
I don't wanna think about that now.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Hmm. I approve and disapprove at the same time. We see that Kakarot is smarter, and more calculating, but only within the confines of the brainwashing. Saligir is expecting us to accept that because Kakarot was told 'Kill All Humans' instead of 'Kill All Sentient Life' that Kakarot will only kill all humans. Except that Kakarot is Saiyan, and I find it hard to believe that the bloodthirsty warriors wouldn't do research on the planet they are supposed to exterminate, or even discriminate-That Boss Carrot can live because he's a Rabbit, but everyone else is to die because they are human-after all, they work for PTO, the whole planet is supposed to wiped of all life, for the other aliens who want to live there.
On the other hand...All the feels. Dammit Saligir you're a demon.
Tragedy intensifies, and I approve.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'm still confused about this as well. I mean if Salagir is following the Bardock movie (since Minus wasn't released at the time) then Goku shouldn't have been more than a couple of days old or so before being shipped off to Earth.FoolsGil wrote:Hmm. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Maybe Saligir decided he liked Minus and decided to do an in story retcon-keep Hanasia, and Kakarot was on Planet Vegeta for a couple years in all universes. Maybe when there's time, He'll redo the U3 special to reflect this.BlazingBarrrager wrote:I'm still confused about this as well. Mind you: this is before the moment when other universes break apart (4 pages later aka 441).

I noticed that so far we have not once seen Kakarot with his tail present. Any particular reason why?

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
