You continue trying to rationalize it. Let me help you. It doesn't make sense. It's broken feats. It's beyond the realm of simple reality and understanding because reality and understanding are always based on things having limits, and these feats don't, they enter the realm of infinity and limitlessness. You think you will understand it but the fact is that is not meant for us to understand, it was written exactly as something beyond that, not as something completely logical. Shazam being there or not is irrelevant.Sora Saiyan wrote:Well that one I can't explain, the Spectre one can be explained, but the infinite page book can't really be argued against. Why does Shazam need to lift it with him though? That's something that doesn't make sense.rereboy wrote:He also held a book in his hands that had infinite number of pages. How much weight does a book with infinite pages have? That's right, infinite.Sora Saiyan wrote:Did Superman actually lift that much? Spectres body contains eternity and eternity is just a measurement of time. It does say just after that eternity is heavy, but if he weighed an infinite amount wouldn't he just crush the earth after Supes and Wonder Woman had slown his descent. I really don't believe he weighs infinity after looking into it more. The more I read about it, the less it looks like it's infinity.
Anyway, you are trying to rationalize it and ground it. Bottom-line is that his abilities transcend even abstract notions like infinity which should be impossible except for someone without limits.

You do realize goku fought against a being that destroyed a planet with a finger tap and took a finger flick from said being without out dying right?Mewzard wrote:I'm pretty sure they started working on this Death Battle before Dragon Ball Super was even announced. Remember, all we had was BoG and Resurrection 'F' until like, what, 2-3 months ago when Super was announced? The longer first battle took them years to do. This one probably took at least six months. Not their fault Dragon Ball came up with a new series while they were working.
Honestly, Superman should be able to win with the first punch if he went all out at this point. The man's strength is on another league entirely.
This is from a New 52 comic, this isn't some ancient page. That kind of raw power could turn Goku into jelly. Goku's never demonstrated the strength to perform such a feat or endure such a level of raw strength. Goku just has no chance up close in the melee. Ki attacks from a distance would really be his only hope.
Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Can you say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Beerus' finger flick was as damaging as that planetary destruction? Can you say for certain that Beerus' impressive destructive feats are raw power and not just part of a God of Destruction's powers, like the Gods of Creation making worlds?pacz360 wrote:You do realize goku fought against a being that destroyed a planet with a finger tap and took a finger flick from said being without out dying right?

Beerus didn't destroy a planet with the physical strength of his finger. He used his finger to unleash his Ki on the planet. Superman is using just his physical strength on that shot.pacz360 wrote: You do realize goku fought against a being that destroyed a planet with a finger tap and took a finger flick from said being without out dying right?

Considering he blew it up with a finget tap pretty much.pacz360 wrote:Mewzard wrote:Can you say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Beerus' finger flick was as damaging as that planetary destruction? Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
But energy came from his hand when he did it, so it clearly wasn't just a finger tap, and he wouldn't have been able to control that kind of destruction with a physical tap alone.pacz360 wrote:Considering he blew it up with a finget tap pretty much.
The answer is, no, you don't know that it was pure physical ability alone. Even if it was, if that flick to Goku was even slightly comparable to destroying half a planet, Goku would have went a lot farther than he did, if not explode into a puddle of blood and guts from that kind of force.

I believe that it was just Beerus's physical power when he tapped that planet in half, tbf it isn't too ridiculous when you think he's plenty stronger than the likes of Vegetto. He probably did augment his tap with Ki, but that's how DB characters work. With how Super's going we might see Beerus doing stuff like that again so we'll know for sure then.

There's no reason to be a dick about it. Regardless of outcome, both of these characters ARE heroes for a lot of people out there. There are obviously many people out there who are very passionate about them. I have zero problem admitting I am extremely attached to this series and our stories hero. And if anyone doesn't like it, then they can f*** off. Personally I respect Superman for who he is, but I hate him for what he is. The idea of a limitless all powerful character to me seems pointless. But I realize that's not the point of his story. I admit I of course want Goku to win. But it's like Wiz said himself that the idea of Superman really just isn't even compatible with a show like theirs. And that's ok. I still think they should try to match an iteration of the character that isn't essentially God to Goku so that they can have an actual "fair" fight where the winner isn't determined before the fight even starts. That would actually be entertaining. But again either way they are both ultimate heroes who have deeply touched the hearts of millions for decades. In at least one way or another they both deserve a great deal of respect. And if you happen to be the kind of person that really does look up to them as heroes, I think we know how the two of them would want us to be and how we should act about it all and how we treat each other. Isn't that one of the truly most important things here?SSJ God Gogeta wrote:The hate for this fight is sooo funny!![]()
So many people upset that their blue haired hero didn't beat the man of steel, hilarious! Bluper Saiyan got taken out by a fucking toy ring... People should be happy Goku lasted as long as he did.

Dbz characters can over power attacks with enough force to destroy entire planets with their physical strength though.

This death battle was too funny! So Superman is has infinite strength now? XD
So when he fought Doomsday he was just... weaker with limits? Then he got trained to reach infinite strength? xD
According to that Death Battle, Superman is the strongest being in the entire fiction! LOL

I know what you mean, but I just believe it was a ki augmented tap. Didn't he change that egg to sand? Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
This post just shows your ignorance regarding Superman. Yes, Superman is pretty much a character with no limits and infinite strength at his best. Unlike Goku, who is always being upgraded, the writers for Superman are constantly downgrading him, coming up with ways to put him in apparent difficulties or just ignoring how powerful he should be in order to make things more exciting for the audience since being too powerful is boring.ATEMVEGETA wrote:This death battle was too funny! Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
They are using all sorts of feats for Superman, a character who is on his own in comics, meaning no one is superior to him or with better feats, so there is no reason to power scale. In Goku's case, though, they should power scale as Goku has not had much time to show feats, and every time we have a feat for him its not accurate (like the most recent one in Super showing Goku lifting many weights that are surely super-heavy, on a 10x gravity planet, meaning a ton weighs 10 tons on that planet)
Also in Dragon Ball physics laws are much more solid than in Superman. In Super we've just been shown that there is a speed limit in Universe 7, probably because going faster than that would break something in the Universe, or it is possible major forces stops you from going any faster. That's why Goku's IT is special and works in a special way, meaning it really is "instant".
In Superman's universe it looks like even going a bilion times faster than light doesn't create any problem to the universe.
I liked this Death Battle's animation but they basically just did researches on Superman and treated Goku as a "martial artist who can use ki and ki blasts" which isn't accurate. Also Superman walking through Goku's Super Kamehameha and burning his brain looked stupid.
Also Superman lifting the planet looks like the most stupid idea ever. I wouldn't even try to guess who is better between the two as Superman is made OP for some reasons while Goku is OP because he has spent his entire life training and even his afterlife.

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
So Superman is getting downgraded in the lastest comics? Why this hasn't been taken into count? Aren't Superman's comics supposed to be a continuety from one to another?
Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Because they didn't just focus on any specific version of Superman on a specific moment in time, just like they didn't do that regarding Goku. They looked at their overall best potential of abilities and power. And Superman has been subject to downgrades for decades.ATEMVEGETA wrote:So Superman is getting downgraded in the lastest comics? Everyone on whowouldwin is so salty about DB's reasoning. Yes, Superman wins. No, the logic that DB used was NOT okay. Jesus Christ these guys are terrible at this. There was like no research whatsoever.
