Would Goku eat Oolong?
Would Goku eat Oolong?
One thing I always wondered about DB is the view on animals, because there are different kind of animals. For example there are the "normal animals", then the animals which look normal but can talk (like the fish Goku ate in ep 1), then there are these human-animals or whatever they are called, which seem to live side by side with humans.
What I asked myself is when it comes to eating, Goku would not eat a human-animal obviously. But he ate a fish who can talk? Where do you think is the moral line for Goku and the others?
For example if he and Oolong or him and turtle weren't friends and he would have randomly met them in the forest or so, would he consider eating them?

Oolong stated that he tastes awful in Battle of Gods (extended edition I think).
That said, Vegeta ate some kind of warrior alien (presumably sentient) in his first appearance so I guess it's possible.

Pretty much this. It's actually the only explanation I can think of.Marco Polo wrote:Oolong stated that he tastes awful in Battle of Gods (extended edition I think).

Besides, I thought it was an accepted theory that Vegeta ate all of the animal-people on Earth (Except for the king, because of his royal blood).

In that very moment, she knows. She fucking knows. As she handles me the nugget pieces she previously cooked for me, she leaves my room with these words: "Persona 5 is the true savior of the JRPG".

If he weren't their friend, then he would probably consider it, but maybe Oolong's humanoid features would turn Goku off, or Oolong would try to convince him he tastes horrible. Anyway, after a bit of talking, I doubt Goku would do it, unless he was REALLY hungry.

Either that or it was Beerus (except for the king because Beerus is a cat and is secretly afraid of dog people).Avery wrote:Besides, I thought it was an accepted theory that Vegeta ate all of the animal-people on Earth (Except for the king, because of his royal blood).

This sure is a weird question... I think so lol.
Re: Would Goku eat Oolong?
how is it a weird question? the situation in dragonball is weird. if you look at it from oolongs perspective even more. he is a pig, and always when his friends eat, they eat pigs, thats weird.
imagine you would be a friend of a bunch of people from a race, which eats humans all the time.

Probably only if he was starving or Oolong was an enemy (like how Yajirobe ate one of King Piccolo's demon spawn)
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147
