Why no Kanzenshuu Forum Polls?

Hello, I've noticed that throughout the forum there have been several new topics where people have been setting up polls for topics such as which is the worst/best (insert whatever here). However, despite this, there isn't really an option (that I know of anyways) to create an actual poll where people can just choose an option via the whole click-and-submit route. While I understand that just clicking a circle and pressing submit isn't necessarily the most productive thing in establishing conversation, I feel that it would lead to more participation amongst users and create more data for the topic creators to work with as well as make it easier on them to organize the results. I'm not really much of a forum kind of guy and I'm a bit of an ignoramus when it comes to the making of (and even participating in) these kinds of things, so, I guess what I'm getting at is why isn't there a polling system here at Kanzenshuu?

Is it because it's a painstaking process to implement?
Did it exist in the past and was never popular resulting in its elimination?
Has it always existed and I as well as others just never knew?
Does it go against the whole Kanzenshuu philosophy of "don't be stupid?" in which the lazy option of pointing and clicking is deemed unworthy?

Mostly the last option. From what I've seen, the general rule from on high is that the inclusion of polls (and like/dislike buttons, for that matter) will encourage people to merely click the option instead of actually contributing to the discussion at hand. I'm not sure I agree with it, but I see where they're coming from.

I do admit that it would make stuff like that Short Story voting thread much, much easier, though.
