Toriyama confirms Golden Frieza's power level...?
Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
Its bad enough for something to just be bullshit because it obviously doesnt fit with the story, but this is like straight borderline contradictory. The last officially stated power levels of high magnitude were SSJ Goku and Freeza at 150,000,000 and 120,000,000 respectively. Though those were stated in guides i believe. Still though in the manga itself Freezas 2nd form was "over 1 million". And obviously the characters have grown a metric ass ton more powerful than those numbers. So even if he only meant raising his 1st form to 1.3 million..... That still obviously isnt jack shit. Its just annoying.
should stay away from them
Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
I think this is just an example of how meaningless those numbers always were. The 1.3 million figure doesn't really contradict anything but gives less room for powerscale as we are used to imagine. Like achieving the one million level needs other ways to compare characters' strength.

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
As far as the "1.3 million" goes, I suspect that's just Freeza not having a damn clue how strong anyone actually is or how strong he'd actually become if he trained for months. The scouters don't seem to be able to measure levels very far into the millions, so Freeza and company really have no way of knowing just how much stronger everyone is (or even exactly how much stronger Freeza got through training) without learning to actually sense ki, which none of them ever seem to have done.
Freeza only knows that his natural maximum without training would be no match for Majin Buu -- he doesn't know how strong Majin Buu actually is, or how strong Goku would need to be to surpass him. All he can do is guess, and if his guess was "if my first form hits 1.3 million, I'll be able to beat this new stronger Goku" then it seems like he was betting on Goku's current level being no higher than 300 million or so (assuming the power ratios between forms stay the same post-training, a first form power of 1.3 million would mean a final form power of around 294 million when at 100%.) He's figuring that if he trains for 4 months and more-than-doubles his power he'd be more than a match for Goku no matter how strong he's gotten... and then he unexpectedly unlocks a new powered-up form during this training, which leads him to rush off to attack Earth right away since he was already figuring that the training alone (without the possibility of a stronger form on top of that) would be more than enough of a boost.

I could live with that. In fact honestly thats like the only way i could. I kinda like it. Unfortunately i doubt thats the truth behind how the line came to be but i definitely would be ok with simply making Freeza a clueless idiot as opposed to dumb writing.

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
Personally I like the theory that Toriyama forgot all about the Daizenshuu PLs and kept thinking Freeza's previous maximum was 530,000 based on the 'F' song.

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
So Frieza only doubled his power level in 4 months? This is basically saying that after Battle of Gods, the SSJG power wore off and Goku went back down to normal. Hence why he needed to unlock a new Ssj transformation to return to that level. It wouldn't make sense for him to use a transformation that has the power of The Saiyan God when he has it all along.
My arbitrary numbers:
Buu
Revival of F

Buu

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
Obviously Freeza's BP increased far more than 2x, considering that both Piccolo and Gohan were no match for his 1st form.h0kuten wrote:So Freeza only doubled his power level in 4 months?
Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
I like this theory too. If the primary reference Toriyama had in his mind was the [F] song, he must have thought that was Freeza's powerlevel all along.Polyphase Avatron wrote:Personally I like the theory that Toriyama forgot all about the Daizenshuu PLs and kept thinking Freeza's previous maximum was 530,000 based on the 'F' song.

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
This is a pretty good in universe explanation. He was just saying an impressive number to sound smart, while in reality not knowing anything about anything. An accidental new form also explains why he went to earth immediately after: He thought this new power would be able to one-shot Goku no matter how strong he got.Pantalones wrote:As far as the "1.3 million" goes, I suspect that's just Freeza not having a damn clue how strong anyone actually is or how strong he'd actually become if he trained for months. Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
Why would anyone like or want the thought of Toriyama forgetting things? Like do you want him to potentially end up fucking up the lore in other ways? Possibly big contradictory stuff? I know i certainly dont like plot holes/bad writing.
Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
So no one believes it might be what i think it is? Freezer trying to say "increase my power level to 1.300.000 TIMES" his normal level?
Because that would make perfect sense to me. 1.300.000 times his first form would already be 68.900.000.000, which sounds high enough to be far above almost any
non-god character...

I don't like or want it, what I meant was that it seems very plausible.ShaneisMC wrote:Why would anyone like or want the thought of Toriyama forgetting things? Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
Can someone confirm or not whether:
a) Frieza said he would multiply his power 1,300,000 and/or 1,300,000,000x?
b) Frieza said he would reach a power level of 1,300,000 in his 4th form?

He just said that he would reach a battle power of 1,300,000.h0kuten wrote:Can someone confirm or not whether:

Freeza: “Is that so surprising? In my estimation, if I train hard for 4 months then…I should acquire a battle power of 1.30 million…”
Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
So shouldn't we take it as an official power level and make the most of it?dbgtFO wrote:He just said that he would reach a battle power of 1,300,000.h0kuten wrote:Can someone confirm or not whether:

Fan speculation should not over-ride official power statements.
Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
Go to the power levels thread and you will see people have made lists taking it into account. I did one some weeks back, where I had Freeza FP on Namek as 530,000 and Golden Freeza in RoF at 1,300,000. It's pretty hard to look at though!h0kuten wrote:So shouldn't we take it as an official power level and make the most of it?dbgtFO wrote:He just said that he would reach a battle power of 1,300,000.h0kuten wrote:Can someone confirm or not whether:

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
I don't like the fact that he may contradict what he established before, but I guess he end up doing that sometimes, unfortunately. This 1.3 million powerlevel seems like something Freeza has yet to achieve.ShaneisMC wrote:Why would anyone like or want the thought of Toriyama forgetting things? To make it more easy, I'm thinking about this being Freeza's powerlevel before he transforms into Golden Freeza. The new form seems like something that even surprised him at first glance.dbgtFO wrote:Go to the power levels thread and you will see people have made lists taking it into account. Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
I think it's just 1.3 million at his 1rst form.
What if we use the Viz power levels?
Goku
~Base 3,000,000
~Ssj 150,000,000
~Ssj2 300,000,000
~Ssj3 1,200,000,000
Frieza

~1rst Form Post 1,300,000
~Final Form Post 294,000,000

Re: Toriyama confirms Golden Freeza's power level...?
It wouldn't work with the Super Saiyan stuff. That would require 1st-form Freeza's powerlevel to be higher than 150,000,000 or SS Gohan's to be lower than 1,300,000.h0kuten wrote:I think it's just 1.3 million at his 1rst form.

Gohan was in Base when Frieza single punched him. It was also kind of an off guard attack that Gohan didn't really see coming.Hugo Boss wrote:It wouldn't work with the Super Saiyan stuff. Regardless, fuck it. This new material has so much contradictions that EVEN I can't make it all work, it's a bloody mess to say the least.
