Who would you cast Goku?
I'm sorry if this has been done before but who would you cast Goku for a live action?
Maybe it should be a handsome Japanese guy.

Re: Who would you cast Goku?
This has been asked before. My answer back then was Joseph Gordon Levitt.
He's a good actor, he can do comedy and drama well, he's the right height, the right age and even has a Asian look to him.

Chris Pratt is kind of bulky, but if he slimmed down he would be amazing. His Parks and Recreation character, Andy Dwyer, basically is Son Goku. He would also, of course, be an amazing voice-over artist for Goku. Too bad he's a blockbuster movie star now.

I've never really thought about this, but I completely agree! He would make an excellent Goku!B wrote:Chris Pratt is kind of bulky, but if he slimmed down he would be amazing. And yes, Andy Dwyer is basically Goku.

Chris Pratt?
.......That..............is perfect, actually. Well, borderline-perfect. If he were younger and slimmer, it'd be perfect. He could totally pull off the character though, and his bulkier physique would totally work for the later time periods of Goku's life (around the time he becomes a Super Saiyan). Man, what could have been....

Tom Cruise LOL
No but actually I really liked Paul Rudd in Antman and he could make a decent Goku I think...I don't know. Antman was kind of goofy but a genius at what he does, which is kind of like Goku.

Donnie Yen. He has the perfect physique for Goku and he's pretty good actor too from the movies I've seen him in. But I gotta say, Chris Pratt sounds like a damn perfect fit too, all things considered.

We don't need the hair to be super faithful but do you think he can pull off the black spiky hair with a fringe?ConfusedPhantom wrote:Yeah, Chris Pratt would pull off Goku's character pretty nicely.

YES! Chris Pratt! Definitely! He would nail the character. After I watched The Lego Movie all I could think was "Wow... His voice and expression is literally Goku". The look of him wouldn't matter much, as long as he can just nail the character I would be totally cool with Chris Pratt as Goku, and I'm sure he would be fantastic.

He seems more like a Freeza or Piccolo type.MCDaveG wrote:I would cast Tom Hardy.

We all know that if Hugh Jackman is in a DBZ movie he will play Vegeta and every movie will revolve around him. We got a 6'2" Wolverine so I'm sure they will give us a 6'2" Vegeta.BrandonR24 wrote:I always said Hugh Jackman. Never thought about Chris Pratt haha

Actually, that'd be pretty cool to watch! Pratt as Goku and Jackman as Vegeta? I could totally see that not only working, but working quite well! I just have this smile on my face envisioning Pratt's Goku comically annoying Jackman's Vegeta.dario03 wrote:We all know that if Hugh Jackman is in a DBZ movie he will play Vegeta and every movie will revolve around him. These are the best live-actors I've seen for Dragon Ball:

"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
