Super Sonic Warriors is one of the most underrated DBZ games
Sure, we've got Hyper Dimension, Legends, Budokai 3. But this game had the best what-ifs I've played, the combat was incredibly simple yet fun, and somehow managed to capture the essence of Dragonball Z. The sequel kind of sucked, but for a GBA game it was damn fun and very in touch with the franchise.

The game was a lot of fun. I remember being a bit worry that game would suck given how bad Taiketsu turn out (So did other people) and end up being surprise how fun the game was. I remember playing the game for hours when I first got in 2004. The story mode was pretty enjoyable, but some stuff made no sense like Piccolo able to wish Piccolo Daimao when Piccolo is his reincarnation. It would be like if Uub try to wish back Kid Buu when he is already Kid Buu reborn. The game would give you three different versions of characters to play and most of them play the same. Why did we had three versions of Perfect Cell when they could done Imperfect Cell and Semi-Perfect Cell as his first two forms. We have two Super Buu's when they could have done Buuhan or Kid Buu as Buu's third playable option.
I agree that the sequel did kinda suck, but it did had some cool features like to summon characters with the touch screen.

I absolutely loved this game. I remember sitting and playing it for hours. The what-if stories were great, and it had a pretty good character roster. A really good Game Boy Advance game, overall.
Why didn't you like the sequel?

This was a great games. Funny thing is that the handheld systems had 2 of the best DBZ games This one and Legendary Super Warriors on GBC. I played the heck out if both of these games and they are in my personal top 5.

The best part of this game was trolling with Freeza's Death Ball.
The sequel was much better, though.

I didn't like the sequel as much too, since the music and atmosphere was worse compared to the original. Something was just off, with the menus too. I can't describe it with any other words than it was not DBZ-ish.
