What is Toriyama's exact role in this new series? I have only seen him credited as original draft that means he basically jots a basic outline of a plot and TOEI do the rest? For example BoG and "F" have obviously already been drafted so I assume it's TOEI who are moreso responsible for the changes we are seeing?

Didn't he say that he wrote the story arc of the new Dragon Balls being set across the multiverse? It sounds like that he has put more input into the story with Super then he did with GT.

That was a mistranslation apparently; well, at least it was originally phrased wrong. The line isn't supposed to imply that Beerus has only been awake for half a day, but that that he destroyed 8.5 planets within just half a day.

Toriyama writes the story idea then Series Director Chioka Kimitoshi and Producer Kido Atsushi hire freelance writers to turn these plot ideas into scripts. It's basically the same exact process as making Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, only based on pages of note rather than a comic.

Man, I really can't wait for the BoG & FnF arcs to end. While the episodes are fun so far, it really feels like I'm watching filler, with the plot going on slooooowly...

I wonder how involved Toriyama is in the BoG & FnF arcs, specifically with the changes. Did Toriyama make these changes, did they apply the changes from Toriyama's original script, or Toei is just making changes on their own just to refresh the plot?

I'm so hungry for that Uni 6 arc. This felt like the slowest episode so far. I wasn't bored, but it was just kinda slow (and not enough Vegeta for me, though I'm sure we'll get more of him in coming weeks).

I'm curious as to how many of the changes were from different drafts of the BOG script, since so much of it was cut, even during Toriyama's swing at it.

I'm beginning to think more and more that Toriyama merely wrote the Universe 6 arc plot outline and that TOEI are handling the re-tellings of BOG/ROF all on their own.

Ootsuka has credits as an action animator but also specializes in mechanical animation. He'll probably just do cuts for Gokuu versus Beers, though.

EDIT: After looking into it I have learned that NewType is a month ahead of when it comes out, unlike VJump's two months; so the one to be looking for would be the September Newtype.
