How would SSJG and SSGSS work in a Budokai game?
How would SSJG and SSGSS work in a Budokai game?
Whatever Budokai game, to be more precise. Should Goku start out as a SSJG and then absorb his power, or go through a transformation ritual with a cutscene? Perhaps he and Vegeta should be alternate characters with SSGSS as their only transformation, while the God form could be a temporary skill (like Fusion) for regular Goku. In case you opted for the absorption method, what difference would Base Goku have?

Dimps didn't really care about transformations methods (outside of Fusion), as even Cell just pops into his forms without absorbing the robits. So in a traditional Budokai game, for Goku/Vegeta, they'd presumably just be different capsules with the appropriate forms the character has. Perhaps something like one of these options:
Option 1:
"Transform 1": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SS4
"Transform 2": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SSG > SSGSS
Option 2:
"Transform 1": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SS4
"Transform 2": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SSG
"Transform 3": Base > SSGSS
Option 1:
"Transform 1": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SS4
"Transform 2": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SSG > SSGSS
Option 2:
"Transform 1": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SS4
"Transform 2": Base > SS > SS2 > SS3 > SSG
"Transform 3": Base > SSGSS

I like option 2, but I should remind you that it's any Budokai game, which includes the BT series as well.

Sorry. Not going to acknowledge that. The Budokai Tenkaichi (Sparking) series only received that name for marketing reasons, to try and trick people into purchasing the games by using the success of the Budokai (Z) series titles. They aren't the same developers and aren't actually intended to be part of the same series in Japan.
Re: How would SSJG and SSGSS work in a Budokai game?
Ok, I respect that, but for the record, anyone can use the BT or Sparking series as they please.

I was thinking if its Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, the Saiyan God and Super Saiyan capsules would activate you:Truhan wrote:Whatever Budokai game, to be more precise. 1. Go into Hyper Mode. Oh and you need all 7 Ki Gauges full while doing it.
2. Press the button for Hyper Mode again and BAM Saiyan God form!
3. If you want, just the regular transforming buttons while in Saiyan God form to become a "Super" Saiyan God!
4. If you get knocked out of the forms, you just transform like any other Super Saiyan form.
Well...
Re: How would SSJG and SSGSS work in a Budokai game?
haven't played budokai3 in awhile, but I would think that Super Saiyan God would function like a fusion where it's activated like an ultimate, shows a quick transformation cutscene, then you have unlimited Ki but have the time limit bar and when it runs out, you lose the form. the capsule would take all 7 spots like fusions as well.
SSGSS could be (depending weather or not DB Super gives us SSGSS2 & 3) a Goku & Vegeta only support capsule that would increases the power of the Super Saiyan forms while making it so (for Goku) you wouldn't need the Kaioken capsule.

Option 1: "Transform 2" looks like the most logical progression to me.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Dimps didn't really care about transformations methods (outside of Fusion), as even Cell just pops into his forms without absorbing the robits. Re: How would SSJG and SSGSS work in a Budokai game?
I feel like the god ability could be a capsule like babadis spell that turns vegeta into majin vegeta after the health has depleted to a certain point. Or to be more accurate you make SSG goku and then after he looses a certain amount of health you loose the ability and go back to base goku.
I am more curious how the ki gauge would work in that situation, would it be like gogetas where it is never ending or like ssj vegito??! OH THE POSSIBILITIES!
You do bring up a really good point with this post, that dimps/bandai namco needs to release another infinite world/burst limit fighting game. I have had a lot more fun with those "traditional" dbz fighters. I guess extreme butoden will do for now!
EDIT: Without dragon rush (B3) and without Drama Pieces (BL)
