The preview was nothing special. Just the dialogue before SSGSS Goku and Golden Frieza engage in combat, followed by a very brief look at the battle (as in, the part with the bad CGI).
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Do you guys think it's necessary to have a separate thread for our theatrical plans and experiences like we did with BOG, or should we confine all of the discussion to one thread this time?

I made a thread like that last year for Battle of Gods and I intended to do the same for this one. I may as well post the thread now as it comes out in US in just a couple days.

Still can't get over the bad CGI, but the animation as a whole looks really damn good.

For fellow UK fans, I just found "F" on UK Anime Store for £18.74 (currently the cheapest I've found) needless to say, I've pre-ordered.

Amazon & Zavvi are still at £24.99.

Cancelled Amazon order and pre-ordered this. Can't see it dropping any lower than this.

It'll drop in price. It did it before, it was put up on Amazon for a ridiculous £25 then by the time it came out it was £17.41 and I then put it through Flubit and ended up getting it for £15.54.

Speaking of Amazon, Ressurrection "F" has a sales rank of 270. That's pretty impressive especially since considering that on Friday I am pretty sure it was in the high 2000's. This movie sure is making a killing huh?

Man, it's good to see Krillin kicking ass and taking names. :)

Also, ANN posted their review of the movie.

I try to stay away from ANN's reviews ever since I read their review of The Last: Naruto the Movie. They gave the film an 'A' grade so that increased my expectations of the film. I go to watch the movie only to be completely disappointed.

Most of the reviews I've read so far for Resurrection 'F' have been very positive. This film is getting better reviews than Battle of Gods from what I can tell (and I loved that movie).

I'm going to see the film this Saturday. I've been patiently waiting for it, I've avoided as many spoilers as possible and I don't think I've ever been this hyped for anything Dragon Ball related.

I'll post my thoughts on the movie here once I've seen it.

Pretty much what I expected everyone who loved BoG isn't loving "F" as much as reasons given by ANN and everyone who didn't love BoG is loving "F" for the reason of more action etc. It's split just like most of the DB fandom :P I really really loved BoG but I don't mind "F" reverted back to old TOEI style movies but with complete Toriyama influence, I think I'll love this movie just as much!

It now has 7 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, one of those comes from a "Top Critic" who said

"This slam-bang action-adventure will have "Dragon Ball" fans of all ages cheering with delight."

It still has a 100%.

I saw the movie in horrible quality and in Spanish... Well, what was I thinking, I am embarassed even to admit that, but I just couldn't wait until October.
I don't know, I wasn't impressed and I will probably pass on this movie. It was kind of bland, in which the dub probably helped a lot
as I remember some scenes I saw with Japanese Jaco and he was fun, here he wasn't. But overall, the story wasn't that fun, ending theme was awfull (how can someone sing like that? It sounded like baby doll with broken batteries).

I can't wait for the Super adaptation of it and incorporating it into the broader story. With BoG, I still love the movie and I am not that much impressed with what we saw yet in Super.
New elements in Super are cool, but the scenes from the movie like Pilaf introduction and the bingo prizes weren't that good in comparison.

Tough I will rewatch the movie after the release, but I think that I will pass on it.

Was the "common laser" line from the dub actually in the original script?...

I mean, the whole "contingency, super ultimate, laser" theory was hard enough to swallow... but suggesting that it's on par with the lazer roshi tanked... Holy freaking balls... How "off guard" could he have been?

Is it just me or is Kuririn's ringtone We are from One Piece? If so, that's pretty fucking awesome! It's especially cool for the Japanese version since Mayumi Tanaka plays both Luffy and Kuririn. It's kinda cool for the dub as well since Sonny does also play Usopp.

Just got back from seeing the movie. Was it just me, or was Krillin's ringtone the theme from One Piece?
