What phrases/opinions/things bring out your irate fanboy?

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

THIS!!! That's why apart from Mistare Fusion, I don't watch ANY DB youtubers. The only other one that is semi tolerable to me is Blackenfist. He does seem to be somewhat knowledgeable.
I would like to think that I am more than just somewhat knowledgeable. Their are things I don't know but you could say that about every fan too.

True, nobody can really know everything about anything, but of course there is always someone that knows more than others. When it comes to DB, I think understanding the Japanese version helps tremendously, and it seems like you know a good bit about it.

Also, I think that you're one of the best DBZ youtubers out there along with Qaaman and the gang. MistareFusion is up there as well. It's just certain youtubers, which I won't name, tick me off. It baffles me how fans subscribe to those other channels and actually defend them when it's obvious that they're just making up bullshit. The fanbase would be much better off if they would just ignore them and go with you guys instead.

OMG, blackenfist in kanzenshuu!!
Agreed on that.

PS: You´re best Dragon Ball youtuber, alongside Quaman and Mister Fusion.

The Brolyphobia on Kanzenshuu. I get people on other sites are really annoying with the Broly hype, or the series over-hyping Broly in things such as the games, but I hardly see anyone really say much about him on this site that's hyping. Usually it's indifference, liking the character, or more commonly hate. I've seen a lot people not like beating a dead horse on a subject, well at least on Kanzenshuu I think the Broly hate is being beaten to death. I kinda like him, but really I don't think anyone on here is over-hyping him, so I don't see a reason to over inflate the hatred.

Personally, my hate of the characters stems from the fact that I personally interpret him as almost everything wrong with the franchise because most non-fans usually think of him when Dragon Ball comes to their mind. "Big and tough brutes with no brain, who punch each other and scream a lot for 50 minutes, with undeserved and easy to get power-ups, a shallow backstory and lack depth and complexity". That's what most critics usually say about DB and Broly is the personification of all of those aspects put together.

Doctor. hit the nail on the head. Broly is every shallow trope and stereotype about Dragon Ball rolled into one.

Well yeah everyone is free to hate him, I just think it's brought up a lot in a place that's not very supportive of him, so there's no real point in beating it in some more.

It's the general idea that strongest character = best character that annoys me.
"You just put Krillin above Vegeta, are you crazy or what? Even normal Eartlings can murder Krillin lol"

Anything a Broli fanboy says is just unbearable.

And the rapid dub fanboys comments...oh boy. English is not even my first language and yet I was told to "go get a cancer" for not hailing it and preferring the Japanese version...don't even get me started on the "weeaboo" thing.

In that very moment, she knows. She fucking knows. As she handles me the nugget pieces she previously cooked for me, she leaves my room with these words: "Persona 5 is the true savior of the JRPG".

A lot of times when other peoples views don't match with our own, we can't help but feel irritated or annoyed. Sometimes it comes out in nasty ways.We see this all the time in every fandom and every forum. It's fine to have these feelings, but I feel it's important to understand why, and how to react to them in a positive way and learn from others. So, what triggers these feelings in you and why?

For me:
People saying you don't need to watch Dragon Ball.
People thinking the American version is in any way shape or form superior than the original.
People who create their own canon no matter how nonsensical and complicated it is.
You don't
The dub is better

To me, something weeaboo is when you inject needless Japanese into an English sentence, be it people talking/posting in a forum, or in fansubs.

Now stuff like translator's noting Japanese that didn't need to be in subs in the first place, needless honorifics, stuff like that can get on my nerves. It's one of the reasons why I tend to prefer official releases over fansubs (quality is often another).

~ GOTENKS PRE ROST HAS TO BE STRONGER THAN GOKU DUE TO MULTIPLE STATEMENTS; that can be interpreted differently :wtf:
~ Broly has infinite power because his Chi always increases :D
~ Broly has better feats than even Beerus because he blew a Galaxy so he's stronger through feats :lolno:
~ Piccolo is weaker than a Cell Junior by FnF :shifty:
~ Gogeta is weaker than Buuhan and only about 2x Gotenks

Yes, but there are still people (mainly on YouTube and websites like it) that will call you a weeaboo just for liking the Japanese version of a show.

He sort of... is. Notice how Toriyama specifically chose weaker fighters to engage against Frieza's army. Not one, besides Gohan, is SSJ level, let alone SSJ2.

Prior to this, the only indicator of Piccolo's strength is him saying Kaioshin (****ing KAIOSHIN) is in a different dimension to him.

Post-android saga, Piccolo is fodder trash.

Nah.

Toriyama stated that Piccolo trains during his off times & Perfect Cell stated that Trunks & Vegeta weren't the only ones capable of defending themselves against The Cell Juniors.

Piccolo is no push over.

Maybe not weaker than a Cell Jr, but not leagues above one like SSJ2 Gohan was either. At the very best, he's at the level Goku was when he fought Cell, or a tad inferior.

" the Japanese dub is unbearable. Goku sounds like a girl."
"the Kai dub is garbage compared to the original Funimation dub"
Also, Broly. Can't stand that guy.
