He was a solider in Freeza's ship and the guy going 'What the hell?' as the ship is heading into Earth's atmosphere.
Actually, I wasn't any particular soldier on Freeza's ship, I just did a bunch of background walla. I was, however, the "What the--" guy, as well as the last soldier who speaks before Freeza cleans up.
Got'cha, wasn't 100% sure about how much background it was. Either way, solid job and hopefully in future dubs you guys make bigger appearances.

*sigh* they haven't discovered the terrifying combo of Super Saiyan Goku's Z-Soul (the one that instantly refills your ki to max with each KO) + Blue Hurricane.
I've destroyed all but the "Eternal Rivals" DLC PQ with it.

TFS Freeza's record of keeping "badass" lines from foes that he killed....? "Imma deck you in the schnoz" must be comparable to "What The"?

So, I posted this in the RF Theater Experience thread, but I want to know if people experienced the same thing. Whenever Sonny Strait was on screen during the pre-show or Krillin did anything at all even if it was badass, were people laughing. Cause that bugged the crap out of me. Like, I get it, TFS made Krllin into a big joke, but it sucks not being able to enjoy a movie or hear anything that person or character is saying because people were laughing. Like, I know everywhere that's not the show not even just TFS goes "LOLZ! KRILLIN IS THE SUXXORZ!" But TFS really popularized that joke, and it bugs me to no end. Kaiser, I respect you. You put a lot of work into your show, and you respect the franchise. This isn't an attack on you or your show. It's not meant to, and please don't take it that way.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Hmm, to be perfectly honest, while Krillin had badass moments, he also was treated like joke as well, especially in Movies, where he was almost always one shotted, but, sorry to hear it ruined your theater experience.

The Yamcha hate is the worst. Literally, before Yamcha showed up in TFS, there were no comments, there was no merchandise, there were no what if scenarios (official or not) that made Yamcha a joke. None.

I hate it. He's such a cool character but any Yamcha hate is just a cruel over played joke. Funny once, not funny after years of it. And yes, I am blaming Kaiser and friends because they keep writing it into their show and keep listening to the masses about that over played joke.

The worst was the hanging joke. Not funny. Never was. It isn't creative, it's easy "humor"

I despise it. And it ruins my experience with other fans of the show because they refer to it all the time now.

The Yamcha jokes existed way before TFS did anything with it.

Despite the fact that Japan made a dead Yamcha figure and nobody there likely knowing what TFS is.

I disagree. And if it did, it was not in the mainstream capacity it is now. Yamcha was treated like most of the other human fighters, and a lot of people felt he, like Tenshinhan, got shafted majorly. I would not go to Youtube, or talk to friends, and there would be nobody bringing it up. Now... now it is brought up all the time. Anytime Yamcha is shown, he is made fun of.

I think the dead Yamcha figure has to do with TFS actually. Things trickle down. It's like people think globalization and global culture somehow doesn't effect Japan, when it does. Toei knows about the series, and people in Japan can speak English. TFS has millions of views, and I am sure some of it comes from a Japanese (background) audience.

Think of the video games from the early 2000s, and it never treated Yamcha so poorly, whereas now one of Yamcha's moves is that he is dead. It became a meme recently, where artists from Japan have mimicked his death scene. It is a trickle down effect.

And again, that figure doesn't predate TFS. Try to find a "Yamcha sucks" anything pre-TFS (especially the one that debuts Yamcha), and you won't find it, or be hard pressed to find anything that makes him a joke.

You also need to realize that for a majority of the series, Krillin was the butt of the jokes. Currently they make these jokes much less often than they used to.

Not Yamcha. In their recent episodes, they have continued with these jokes ala "gonna need a senzu for that." Come on, they haven't let up at all. For Krillin, maybe, but not for Yamcha. Do those jokes even make you laugh out loud? Is it worth to keep doing these jokes if it doesn't elicit that reaction? No, you want your audience to laugh, not give a small chortle.

Exactly, kinda. The joke is done.

Look for something that just makes people hysterical. Move on from the Yamcha jokes. Please.

People need to understand that Yamcha is in fact a joke. What did he accomplished in Dragon Ball? Nothing

- Dragon Ball: The first to beat Goku in the series (ok), always defeated and sometimes humiliated in Tenkaichi Budokai, but he was dating Bulma

- Dragon Ball Z: Killed by a Saibamen, spent the entire Namek Arc dead, lost his girlfriend to the guy who indirectly killed him in the Saiyan Arc. First "kill" of the androids later more he was completely useless in this Arc. Just a random human that no longer fights in Boo Arc, eated by Super Boo

- Dragon Ball GT: Gone for exile

And people complain about Yamcha being made as joke by fans in media? Please...

Yeah, Yamcha jokes should really stop. Actually, stop making fun of any of the characters. Make this parody right!
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
