Re: Dragon Ball Z Blu Ray Season sets
So I am also thinking of getting these. It's cheap, and space saving. I'd love another shot at level sets but I'm not sure if we'd get these again.
I'm really debating on getting these. Should I wait? Are there any sales on amazon or other sited where I could possibly get these for $16 and under at some point?

Re: Dragon Ball Z Blu Ray Season sets
I want to recommend it so badly, but there are major flaws with this release speaking from the perspective of a videophile. If you really need the complete series uncut then buy them. If you have it otherwise then save your money. Funi is showing no signs of another DBZ release, especially with all these new additions to the market coming in the next year or so (Kai, F, Super, etc.)
So if you don't have the series already and/or are a collector, buy it. Otherwise, avoid it like the plague. Vote with your wallet.

I was also wondering how I can size down the singles. Its though lolclutchins wrote:I want to recommend it so badly, but there are major flaws with this release speaking from the perspective of a videophile. That would explain the absence of Falconer from the Dragon Boxes. And possibly the NEP and title card thing on the Levels but that could just be chalked down to the footage they were given.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:The problems on the BD sets are much less notciable than the Orange Bricks. They're basically the bricks but slightly less bad. The noise removal is still a bit too strong and it's still 16:9 but it doesn't feel bleached and stuff like the bricks do. I would say if you want a revival of the Levels then vote with your wallet, but if you don't really feel like waiting, it's not the worst release they've put out. The Levels in my opinion are tied for the best release we got (The Dragon Boxes being the other one) and I wish they revisit them or at least do something similar to them, but with all the Super stuff I have no idea how long it will take for them to get to it. It could happen super soon or they could wait until after Super for all I know.eledoremassis02 wrote:So I am also thinking of getting these. It's cheap, and space saving. Those singles were an absolute b-word to collect in decent condition. Even then not all of the boxes were equally good.eledoremassis02 wrote:I was also wondering how I can size down the singles. I'd agree about the level sets, but TOEI wouldn't have allowed Funimation to use Faulconer for the US Dragon Boxes seen as how they were required to keep the sets as close to the original Japanese release as possible.funrush wrote:That would explain the absence of Falconer from the Dragon Boxes. I could see TOEI soon making a Dragon Box Blu-ray to capitalize on the renewed popularity Super and the movies have given the franchise. If that happens Funimation will definitely be interested in licensing them.funrush wrote:They're basically the bricks but slightly less bad. Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Re: Dragon Ball Z Blu Ray Season sets
Does anyone have a HQ template for the season set DVD covers? Because, I'm pretty amazed nobody at either Funimation or Crunchyroll ever released Kai and Super in packaging that closely matches the DB Blue Bricks, DBZ Orange Bricks, and DBGT Green Bricks.
