That being said, as I noted in my review, I don't think it was particularly well-placed in EITHER instance. I wouldn't say it was POORLY placed... just... not great. I think it being used in a Freeza training montage would have been hilariously delightful.
I've been wanting Super to do a Rocky style montage to show Freeza's growth, and if they can't get something delightfully 80s to go with it, I'd take F as a close second.
I kinda liked Freeza's body regenerating to the song in a menacing way, but a part of me thinks it just having the chorus for that and the full song for the major fight would have been better (Also, throw in Only a Chilling Elegy, that was great).

I have a huge problem with the credits pop idol song, that is unlistenabale.
I didn't liked the Flow in BoG that much, but it is passable.
One of the reasons why I prefer DB Super, as there I can only endure generic opening and ending.
Maximum the Hormone's song is only modern track used in DB that I accept.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel

Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

The weird thing is, I dreamed about this topic last night, only, for some reason, in my dream, I actually enjoyed the placement of the song. Go figure!

I dunno, it's kinda just... there. It doesn't really stand out to me outside of being a very generic song. I found its placement and even existence in the movie kind of awkward, because it doesn't really fit his character. Freeza is much more sophisticated, calculated and reserved, so a loud song like that doesn't really work in my book.
...I actually liked Pledge of Z, though.
I was Thanos before the MCU existed!

I agree with your analysis of this completely: it's sad, but true.

I'm not a fan of the genre really and at first I thought it was playing because of the English dub (like some of the older movies). But I ended up surprisingly loving it. I just wait for the "FREEZA FREEZA FREEZA FREEEEEZA" and nod my head furiously

I like metal music, but I definitely don't want it for Dragon Ball. It suits neither the style of the series nor Freeza's aristocratic character.

Fans wanted music that sound hardcore and extreme. They got it and yet they are mixed about it
