DBZ/Toonami Broadcasts
Hey, Dragon ball fans!
I'm new to the site but I just wanted to say that I have a bunch of old Toonami tapes with DBZ among other shows that I've put on my computer!
what about you guys? Did you all ever record Toonami/dbz back in the day?

Re: DBZ/Toonami Broadcasts
I still record Toonami now!!! When I get the chance ON! Blank VHS tapes that I get at the dollar store!
I bet I have about 30 or 40 full broadcasts of it.
I normally will only record for special things here and there like marathons or sometimes when I just feel like randomly recording a full broadcast. I have a lot of older broadcasts as well but I never transferred them to my computer because I'm sure it would be in the gigs and I couldn't store it. Toonami was running 6 hour broadcasts so you can just imagine how many gigs that'd be to transfer them on my computer haha I'll PM you.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

If you ever do decide to transfer them, which would be a good idea since tapes degrade, you can get a portable hard drive for pretty cheap. Like $50 for 1TB, depending on where you look/who made it.

Re: DBZ/Toonami Broadcasts
Oh, I definitely remember recording episode DBZ on Toonami here in UK many, many, many moons ago. But I gave the VHS tape I recorded the episodes on to my cousin when he went to Nigeria, and I haven't seen it since.

Re: DBZ/Toonami Broadcasts
I never recorded Toonami (well, I may have digitally recorded one episode or so...?), but I definitely taped all the original syndication broadcast. Still have all those tapes, properly labeled, and stored away. The "Rock the Dragon" set sorta kinda makes them obsolete, but any time I ever need kids jumping around on wires telling me DBZ is up next...

Re: DBZ/Toonami Broadcasts
Yeah even though I know tapes degrade over time, I have tapes that's over 20 years old and they're still rocking so eventually(If ever) I'll put them on the computer haha I would love to find full broadcasts of KidsWB from back in the day or even better, Toonami on Kidswb! watching Dragonball Z on it was awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3DmP0nInuM
Edit - Just checked and I have 51 Toonami tapes alone. hahaha
I wanted to watch Toonami's return tonight and figured why not count how many I have? I have a mental illness I think. hahahaha

I'm just glad I put all my CN/Toonami tapes on my computer. Just a lot easier for me to go back and look through them and I can stream them to my iPad and whatnot.
I don't have much in the way of Moltar but I have a good bunch from Tom 1,2,3 days.

I taped a big chunk of Dragon Ball and the Buu arc, but those are long gone, and as of a year ago, so is the very same VCR I used. I specifically remember taping the 22nd Budokai episodes; even more specifically Goku VS Kuririn and Kuririn's death cliffhanger episode.

Re: DBZ/Toonami Broadcasts
The only time I can specifically remember recording DBZ on Toonami was the final part of the Cell Games arc during its first broadcast in late 2000. I still have the tape and pull it out every once in a while.
"Perfect" is the enemy of the good. True for Cell and true for real life.
