Episode #0057! VegettoEX, Meri, Andrew, and Jeff (Julian's on holiday break!) take the time out this holiday season to share some stories with the listeners, discuss the news, and answer a few e-mails. Learn all about Andrew's dedication to making a toy Gohan flip and land on his feet, along with the perfect recipe for DBZ Sprite made in the bathtub. Referenced sites: Whee! Go ahead and grab it. Big thanks to godofchaos for hosting the disgusting *fifty-seven* episodes, now.

It's that wacky time of year when we need to kick back, relax, and share some stories. "Fandom Theatre" returns with another installment, along with the friendly voices of Jeff and Mr. Deluxe, himself.

Pictures of the figures (Pilaf & Gohan) to come.

Wow, I liked all those fun little stories. And I learned how to make party Sprite! And just a suggestion: Maybe you should put up a short video of one of the attempts at making the Gohan figure successfully flip.

EX, you mentioned Skitz's contest earliy in the episode. What was that "mystery" prize included for the winner of the auction (aside from your two games)?

VegettoEX, in the podcast you said you didn't use any other DBZ forums but what about other ones? Like movies or video games?

Nice to have an episode with Andrew & Jeff. I loved the Japanese-English intro Andrew did! Andrew is the best podcast comedian, ever.

Good episode! I'm happy to hear there will be more characters in the European Wii version of Sparking NEO as I'm European and planning on getting the Wii version. Looking forward to kicking ass with Appule! :D

Good to have another episode of the fandom theatre. I absouletly hate Broly fanboys! They are always going on about how "Broly is the ultimate and can pwn everyone!!11!".

Kiddy porn? Gambling? This podcast gets so crazy everytime Andrew or Jeff is on it.
Currently playing: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii), Jump Ultimate Stars (DS).

All those people not getting this week's podcasts are missing out on something very fun this week. I like AndrewDeluxe's point of view of things considering he's not the DBZ otaku that Mike and Meri are. And the random things that Andrew does, like the Kamehameha Club, the Gohan toy, making party Sprite, the weird car shop plug and the Eagles shoutout. Fun fun times.

Oh, a year-end episode next week! How about some clips of the best episodes of the year? Like:

-- "Oh he spoke! Oh my pants are getting tighter!"
-- "It's a Robot Chicken!"

and of course....

-- "He raps really fast!"

(Sounds like the start of the Top 5 List of Meri quotes of the year!)

A great fun random podcast this week. It's a keeper!

Budokai

Post by DaftBrian » Tue Dec 26, 2006 3:36 pm

So, I was listening to the podcast, and it made me google "Budokai"

Now...something odd came up. Does anyone know what "Budokai: Tenkaichi (Platinum Edition)?

What is this?

'Platinum' is the UK version of 'Greatest Hits' games for the PS2

Actually if it is the same Best Buy, they got in a new shipment of Jump Super Stars (waves a copy in the air, proud). There was only one copy of the Naruto game though when I went up. I think it was this past Friday.

Yes! Go Eagles! They played spectacularly Monday night. X3
23-7.

I look forward to the review for Ultimate; though from what I've read in the videogame threads so far it plays more slowly than the original.
On hiatus.

*Ignores Eagles comment*
Well seeing how I hear there will be a JUS review, I'll be looking forward to getting this (even though podcasts don't work in my Ipod for some reason). I think you should tell all of those nice people how you've been ducking me in Jump, LaBrie! I'm ranked #1, that means I'm the best. But this bum's (VegettoEX) has been taking all of the easy matches; fighting other bums. You got your shot, now give me mine. (stops quoting Rocky III) But yeah, a podcast right around new years should work.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

I checked for the 'this is not budokai tenkaichi' song on itunes but it didn't show up. Though instead I did find all the Bruce Faulconer albums and 2 songs called Dragonball by Oforia and another by Bahirij. :)

Bear in mind I'm in the UK store.

Ha! I LOVE the band name mentioned this week =P

I haven't gotten the song yet, but I looked up the lyrics, and there's only... three lines? Must be a lotta screaming
Concerning miscellaneous bands and their relation to Dragon Ball,
I found a band called 'MegaDriver' that has done a Heavy Metal version of Head Cha La.
They do albums of various game tracks remixed, and they're not bad either.

http://www.megadriver.com.br/sitev2.html
Their site, where they have MP3 downloads on there.

http://www.megadriver.com.br/mp3/MegaDr ... l%20Z).mp3
The 'Oh so glorious' Head Cha La :P

Also, I loved the obsession with the Gohan figure and 'He looks like still-living Sushi' XD
These Fandom Theatre people... what is their problem?
I agree with ya Mike, I can't comprehend what possibly goes on through their mind. I mean I can understand a 'misguided fan' saying:
'eye don't no wut a daizenshoe is, u gots ta pr00ve it to me.'
but pages and pages of spam? A little over the edge there..

You have the name wrong. It's called "This isn't the Tenka-ichi Budokai."

I didn't check so stop being pedantic.
