And for all of the reasons he has stated, that some of the main themes of Dragon Ball are "growth" and "the passage of time", that I'm so sad we're probably never, ever gonna move past this 10-year gap we're in with new Dragon Ball material. It's like the series is stuck in a place where it's afraid of innovation.

The translated ending credits of Super touches on this aspect of growth and the characters growing in the series.
