I kinda got my idea from basically when Goku and Aladjinn fought. Some attacks Aladjinn used were so much more effective on Goku, despite them being equal. So I kinda think and still kinda do that Piccolo has the same thing. He's much weaker than Aladjinn, but he has powers which are far more effective against Aladjinn. I don't think Piccolo's new power would allow him to move as fast or be as powerful as SSJ4 Grade 2 as we saw before. Or maybe it really does make him that strong, I dunno.
It potentially could, if Piccolo learned how to use sorcery which gets implied here, he can become a threat to beings of SSJ4 tier. Remember, he entered the book so he can get overall stronger, not just to beat Aladjinn. His sorcery would be quite effective as few beings in the universe know of it and can counter it.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I'll wait for author response and get the straight answer.

Exactly, If he could manipulate Reiki then he could manipulate reality. If this is true then even Rigor should be nothing to Piccolo.

I love it when people get into discussions like this about my material :) It makes me feel like people are really looking into the material and that makes me happy.

This isn't a matter that Piccolo's magic makes him physically more powerful, its that - just like Aladjinn before him during his fight with Goku - that his physical abilities are now augmented by his magic. You are correct that Piccolo's magic is much more effective against Aladjinn than normal fighting. The idea comes from the Boo Saga, where the Kaioshin said that despite Babidi's physical weakness, his magic makes him a threat even to the Kaoishin. The gods are afraid of a physically weak opponent with a ton of magical power. That's huge. If you're a threat to gods, then you are certainly a threat to mortals.

As for how Piccolo can use this power, well, you'll have to wait and see :)

So that means both? a) His magical abilities can enhance his physical ones and b) magic itself is also used a a powerful standalone force? Because a) does not seem like it is the case as Gohan says Piccolo's power is not greater than his own, or is it just not really possible to measure the magical enhancement of physical power for Gohan? Except, of course you mean the power is not greater than what Gohan felt but because it has a "different type", so a "physical attack that is actually treated sort of like a magical one" that is enough. Argh, there are so many possibilities!

I've got two theories.

1) Piccolo's ki/mortal power is not significantly different from what Gohan is sensing, but because of the magical augmentation he can apply, he is capable of much more than he registers as. Against Ala-djinn, he is a powerful opponent, but against a non-god, even up to the point of a SSJ4G2, he can fight evenly, too.

2) Piccolo's ki/mortal power is what Gohan senses and that's it. Against a non-god, he only has that power (though his advanced sorcery might give him a number of tricks against a conventional warrior (for example, the silvery slime Babidi tried to use against him), but a sufficiently powerful conventional warrior can shrug it off (as Piccolo did to Babidi's spell). But against Ala-djinn, his sorcery acts to limit what Ala-djinn can do to him and augment what he can do against Ala-djinn. But just because he can contend with an opponent that could fell a SSJ4G2 doesn't mean he could fight the SSJ4G2.

Basically, my theory 1 is conventional DBZ power level comparisons (if X is stronger than Y and Y is stronger than Z, then X is stronger than Z). Theory 2 is more paper-rock-scissors. I don't know which I prefer more (and I'm probably wrong, anyway).

Theory 1 is pretty spot, and some of theory 2 is actually correct

What did Aladjinn say? Once the magic reaches a certain level, you can't defend against it?

If Aladjinn at his present state already achieved this level of magic and Piccolo is giving him trouble, then Piccolo should be able to beat almost any non-magic user.

If he's like Babidi then I guess he's gotta have some really powerful moves, like how Babidi (I think in filler) could create a barrier strong enough to make Piccolo struggle, despite being much weaker overall. Otherwise if Al goes full speed, Piccolo's kinda screwed if he can't keep track of him. What good is great magical power if your opponent can react much faster than you can even think.

Didn't Babidi's barrier survived the Final Explosion? An attack SSJ2 Vegeta put everything in.

I don't remember if he was in range. He was cut in half, and I don't think he had the strength to make a barrier.

It still would take brain processing to perform a feat. By the time your brain tells your body to do it, you could be blitzed by a much faster foe.

Well he did, because we see him being in a round shaped hole, when Piccolo comes back to check, if Buu had been wiped out.

If they decide to do that. DB villains (and let's be honest - every villain in everything) gloat and posture first. Also, if you can survive more than one hit maybe you can get them eventually with some spell (maybe some spells can't even be dodged per say, so it all depends on how your magic system works).

Thinking and reacting takes time. Whis demonstrated this in ROF where he doesn't think and can react much quicker. Piccolo would have to think, and conjure. By the time he does that, the massively faster opponent he has can literally end him before his brain can be tell his body to perform an action. That's what we call speed blitzing. It happens when a foe is so much faster, they can react and attack before their opponent can even think of doing something. Most common example is the Flash in most match ups.

So he put up a barrier after being cut in half? Hm...
