It's stated in the manga that Gohan is stronger than Gotenks. Even Goten and Trunks agree that he is. So...

Not only do we have a direct statement that Gohan is stronger than Gotenks, we also have a direct statement that Gohan-Boo is stronger than Gotenks-Boo:

There really is a difference between having an opinion and defying in-universe facts.

GT is significantly better than the Cell & Buu Sagas, especially the latter and should be used as inspiration for future material in the franchise.

DB > DBZ is not a unpopular opinion since most people feel like the original DB show was a better written show then DBZ. I do feel like DBZ from Saiyan saga - Freeza saga was good, but started to go downhill afterwards. Buu saga was a major mess looking back on it.

I've always thought so. I've never really understood the criticisms against it.

Granted, I would have preferred Cooler to be cut out completely, and have had the Big Gete Star as it's own entity, perhaps a "Big Getecron," if you will. Regardless, the movie itself is perfectly fine, especially when compared to the others in the series.

The Buu Arc was the best in the series and Teen Gohan is better than SSJ2 Kid Gohan.

Animation doesn't particularly bother me unless it's bad enough to make the movie unwatchable. M6's animation isn't bad enough to do that, so I really only pay attention to the story criticisms.

I never understood the comparison between Meta-Cooler and Mecha Frieza. I don't mind the animation either because it's not noticeable enough to ruin my viewing experience... unlike episode 5 of Super. Personally, the reason I dislike it is because I find it boring. As in, the only version I've watched (dub). It has that horrible GT theme playing. Everything that composer touches becomes a bore.

Besides that, everything happens too quickly. More so than every other DBZ movie; there's no proper build-up to anything, IIRC.
-Everyone is already at Namek
-Giant colony and robotssssss everywhere.
-Cooler is randomly the main culprit.
-Him and Goku immediately start fighting.
- Vegeta randomly appears. This is wayyy more random than his other movie appearances, btw.
-They struggle against Meta-Cooler, but beat him.
- Meta-Cooler army appears.
- Instead of killing Goku and Vegeta... they abduct them and bring them to the ****ing core of the Geti Star? The ONE weak point?!
- Goku easily kills the real Cooler.

I disagree about the boo arc (I find the red ribbon army arc to be the best), but thank you I'm not the only one who thinks teen gohan is better then ssj2 kid gohan.

I thought the bad animation was incredibly noticeable especially in the fight between base/Kaioken Goku and Coola, and even early parts of the SS fight. Completely destroyed my enjoyment the first time I watched it. It's just as bad to look at as most of episode 5 of Super.
