Can we expect any news for a 2016 DBZ game at this point?

As late as we are into 2015, you'd think we'd get some sort of announcement or info regarding the next brand new DBZ game for consoles. But so far there hasn't really been anything, weird considering we've sort of become accustomed to an annual release and announcement. Should we still be on the lookout for any sort of news?

Xenoverse was announced last year in July and didn't come out until February this year, I doubt they'll ever go back to a November release

It's highly unlikely they're gonna announce a DBZ game for 2016 at this stage. My bet is that they wanna give Xenoverse 2 enough time to be a polished sequel and also give Super enough time to introduce several new characters that they can throw into Xenoverse 2.

Any announcement at this point won't follow recent traditions for releases, but with the amount of time that normally goes into development for DB games, an announcement any time in the next few months could still technically yield us a game for next year. So I'll stick by the notion that completely ruling out a game for 2016 before we even reach said year is silly. Will we get one though? Who knows.

I don't think we are going to get a new Dragon Ball game next year. It will be like 2012 in Japan and 2013 for the rest of the world all over again. So far Namco Bandai has nothing listed down for a DB game to be at the Tokyo Game Show. I doubt they will have a new game out in November again because there is no reason too. Xenoverse did well for a February release and they will likely do the same for XV2 in 2017.
