Maybe, but i learned to watch and love the original japanese version, the way it's supposed to be watched.

It's not "supposed to be" watched in any specfic language. You prefer the Japanese, fine, but it's not some sort of unspoken law that you have to watch and enjoy the Japanese version over all others.I really hate this type of mentality. You're not better than anyone else for watching the sub.

If you want to follow that logic to its conclusion, the only true way to experience the series is to read the manga in Japanese.

The true way to watch the series... is cropped, horribly smudged and bleached... The way it was meant to be seen.

I agree that it's not meant to be seen in any particular language, but it is meant to be seen as Toriyama created it. Freeza is supposed to be a gentlemanly, psychotic tyrant, not a pun making granny. I would add that as good as the Kai dub is, any dub is going to lose something in translation.

Well I'm not defending what the original dub to Freeza even though a part of me has a
Soft spot. I'm of the minority that thinks Youngs voice and acting wasn't too bad, it was some of the stupid lines that made her take crap. I do love Chris Ayres take though, much more than I used to when he was first shown

This guy:

I've never seen a character dubbed worse than poor Killa here. They literally changed all of his lines into complete gibberish. I don't know why, I guess they thought it was funny? It was murder by dub.

But as far as main characters go, then yeah, Freeza.

So we know how poorly mistranslated Freeza was in the dub. What about Cell and Boo? Were they changed too?

Again, "As Toriyama created it" would mean the original manga in Japanese.

Chichi her vocal performance is terrible and the dialogue they give her is even worse sometimes especially in the scene where Goku hits her

Now, I'll have to see the original version of Killa.

Sabat has talked about it. Killa is a nothing character, so they felt like having a little bit of fun. I'm not saying I agree or that it was even good, but it's hardly the worst thing given how little Killa matters.

Again, "As Toriyama created it" would mean the original manga in Japanese.
The manga is the medium, DB is the story.
Boo? Were they changed too?
Cell wasn't changed too much, but Buu's dialog was often written as "Why you no like Buu?" I don't know how to explain it other than they made him a lot dumber.

Kei17 said that Buu talked like a baby/idiot in the Japanese version, although Simmons' translation never showed that.

It was hilarious.

Fat buu? I felt that he was smarter in the japanese version, the dub made seem like a complete idiot though.

Nope, he really talks like a dumb spoilt kid.
If I go by my girlfriend, then everyone in DB except for Future Trunks talks like idiot.
