Hopefully this is Supers time to shine on the TV ratings side of things, next episode should have better ratings surely, an episode all about the fight with Beerus and SSJG. It's been hyped throughout all of Super for it to not have good ratings. Well I hope so anyway. :P

I'm excited for, at the very least, some cute ssjg Gokû screencappings. At most, I hope for a decent, please-not-episode-5 battle. In my wildest dreams, an episode to rival some of Go!Pri's battles.
On hiatus.

The good thing about the movie fight was that for the most part, except for the start of the cave scene they just got on with it and fought without stopping unlike the Goku vs Frieza fight (in the series). I just hope it's like that in Super.

The budget difference probably means it won't look as good but I'm very interested to see it. I can live with the terrible animation of something like SSJ3 Goku vs Beerus but this is THE battle of the saga, the one people have been waiting for and they can't afford to screw it up.

I'm worried about this too. This fight was really the crown jewel of the BoG film. If Toei goes on the cheap throughout the whole fight (into episode 11), they're really doing a disservice to their product.

Down it goes...
Episode 8
7th - 56.8 (Worst placement so far)

Was the other week a crazy anomaly? I don't think it will happen again.

I think this week was the anomaly. Super's average is 2nd to 3rd place in DVR ratings.

It was showing constant drops until it's first place. I think it will place between 4th and 7th until the BoG arc ends.

If the Vegeta episode had such high ratings, then I'm positive that the next episodes, which will be all about fighting, will at least remain in the top 4.

Maybe there were some good movies airing last weekend?

I wonder if the VegeBul episode (episode 2) doing so well means we'll get another episode like that in the future.

That drop is surprising, but perhaps most people knew the fighting would start in episode 10. Well that's what I'm hoping anyway. I think Episode 11 and 12 will do best out of the SSJG vs Beerus episodes, since episode 11 looks funny, and episode 12 has that cool title, and it's possibly the end of the arc.

Lets see how the ratings are now that the fight begun.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Does anyone know what they're saying on Japanese forums, 2ch, Japanese twitter, etc? Are they disappointed in Super or have similar complaints as us?

Maybe that's why the ratings are dropping, people don't want to watch an inferior version of the same movie story. They really need new episode material.

Only a 5.1? That's for Episode 10?

I'm waiting on the DVR numbers; those seem more telling to me.

EDIT: Wow, I just realized Precure's not even on that list, and Toei puts an even bigger effort into Precure than it does Super. Surreal.

Strange, it also looks like One Piece took a tumble too, from 9.2 to 8.1 as did Fuji TV's other show Chibi Maruko san which went from 9.9 to 8.8, yet Saezae-san stayed the same. Then on the other hand Detective Conan and Yokai Watch saw hefty increases from last week.

There's really just no consistency with these ratings from week to week at all.

First time we've lost to Yokai Watch. That's disappointing.

Yesh, a bit of a tumble for Super.
