Is Bardock's named referrenced in any episode of Dragon Ball Z? Or is he just called Goku's father?

No. Bardock is only ever referred to as "Goku father" in both the manga and anime. It's only in the FOG TV special that Bardock is referred to by his Saiyan birth name.

No. In the anime he is only referenced by "Goku's father". But in the manga, Gine calls him by his name and the narrator also says his name.

Actually, that's incorrect. In a filler segment in episode 90, Freeza refers to Bardock by name. It drives me absolutely crazy because it takes away from the idea that Bardock was some nameless mook. Why the hell would Freeza know his name? But there it is.

And the original manga's narration does refer to Bardock by name in his brief appearance.

Huh. Guess I missed that filler episode. The more you know. :)

Is it not based on the "Father of Goku" film? Freeza would know him by name because, if I recall correctly, Zarbon mentions his team taking out a planet that some of Freeza's elite crew couldn't deal with. This is what prompted him to wipe out the Saiyan race. Freeza also sends Dodoria to wipe out Bardock's team.

I don't recall Freeza, Zarbon, or Dodoria ever using Bardock's name in the TV special. And considering how they view the Saiyans in general, I wouldn't expect them to know his name. He's an expendable grunt as far as they're concerned.

Also, it's worth mentioning that the Bardock special and episode 90 have different writers credited.

EDIT: Checking Herms's Bardock dub analysis thread, Zarbon even refers to them as "some nameless lower-class Saiyan warriors." It actually goes out of its way to explicitly say that they don't know what his name is! The mangled dub script has everyone and his uncle referring to Bardock by name, so maybe that's where you're getting that impression.
