Favorite GT Ending?

Post by PrinceVegetto » Mon Jul 06, 2015 11:20 am

GT has had 4 endings during its run, which one is your favorite in terms of both music and visual appeal? I personally love the first and last ending. However, if I had to pick one it would be Sabitsuita Mashingan de Ima o Uchinuko simply because it's a full-circle moment for the entirety of Dragon Ball.

They're all good, but Ending 3 is my favorite by far.

Blue Velvet is such an awesome and catchy track. And Shizuka Kudo does an awesome job singing the track.

In terms of visuals, I like the 2nd one best. In terms of music, I like the 4th one best.

I just realized that the 4th ending doesn't make any sense. They use EoZ Goku at the end of it, but he's facing the GT cast...
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

I like 1, but I think 2 is even better! I absolutely LOVE "Don't You See"!

The first one was the best, that piece of song is really beautiful, especially in my language.

I think they were all very good. I ended up getting all four of them on my iTunes Japan account. So choosing one is going to be very tough...

Here's one thing I'll say across the board, though: I liked the visuals, I liked the music, and I liked the songs in and of themselves...but to be honest, I didn't care for the lyrics...or rather, didn't care for the lyrics in context with Dragon Ball. These songs were not composed specifically for Dragon Ball, and it shows in the lyrics. The lyrics only relate to Dragon Ball in the vaguest, vaguest sense. So that's the one and only thing that bothers me about the ending songs.

Having said that, if I had to pick only one...it would probably be the first one, "Hitori Janai/You're Not Alone." Great song, very cheerful vibe, and the idea of no longer being alone, and being by friends, fits with Dragon Ball........kinda.......vaguely......

And as a bonus, the European Spanish dub of it is fantastic.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."
