Watching the latest "Adventures of Dumplin" how in a hypothetical Abridged BOG they'd have Gokû mistakenly call Beerus "Bills" the entire time without anyone correcting him ala how he calls Freeza "Freezer" throughout that arc. X3

I also second the wonderfulness of BOG's 'Gokû desu' scene. :3 It is so much fun.

As much as I get why you'd want this, it's different. Freezer is an accurate translation to Freeza, Bills is not an accurate translation for Beers/Beerus. If they had him say Beers, that'd be fine. Also, I don't think you understand how much leverage TFS has for fans. If they use Bills, dub fans/uninformed fans, will think Bills is correct.

There's only a small amount of fans who still use Bills, dub or not. Uniformed fans though will think that

Freezer isn't technically accurate either if you go back to the Katakana. The name Freeza is definitely based on the word Freezer but it is not his name. Freezer would be spelled in Japanese the way Articuno's Japanese name (Freezer) is written out. フリーザー.

Freeza = フリーザ
Freezer = フリーザー

I think you should just go ahead, there have been plenty of sub topics unrelated to DBZA in this thread haha, anyway I sure as hell don't mind.

With respect to DBZA: I just have to say, even though it's probably a bit late that I loved the Tien holding down semi perfect cell scene. 'F**k PLs 'F**k Super Saiyans and 'F**k you' SHIN KIKOOOOHOOOO

Favorite scene by far. Close second is Vegeta's rage namek saga. 'which means...which means' 'he took the dragonball' 'FFOAOASOS%&^*(#&*#(#@&*168298{++_(*(* etc rage broken

Okay, so here's my criticism of the first two episodes of Final Fantasy VII Machinabridged.

Before i start, i'll say this. I have not played Final Fantasy 7. I've read it's TVtropes page, and i've seen the Completionist review, but i haven't played it, and those things were a long time ago. I'm here because this is made by TFS. So my opinions are those of a relative newb.

As of the first two episodes, The main criticism i have is that it feels like we're supposed to side against Cloud, but the story doesn't really give us any reason to. We have nothing but Avalanche's word that they are the good guys, and based on their actions it's not very trustworthy. The three henchmen are all morons, Barret is angry at cloud for what is partly his own damn fault, and Tifa is a bitch who has next to zero redeeming qualities. Cloud meanwhile is a pretty nice guy, a decent fighter, and has had his life ruined by Avalanche just because he was nice enough to help his friend. The Second episode even ends with Tifa practically bragging about how she ruined his life, whilst he breaks down in tears.

I completely understand your view on the matter. I've watched someone play the game so I can say that it has a ton of subtle jokes that only playing it can reveal. Sadly that leaves quite a few people in the dust for some of the jokes like Blonde Zack and Squall.

I'm fine with it to be honest. Unsympathetic Protagonists used to be the norm not the exception in Abridged Serieses. And it's been only two episodes. Enough time and they'll be just as well rounded as the Z abridged cast.

It's just reveling in the fridge logic. FFVII suffers from a lot of protagonist centered morality. It also hinges on the characters knowing for a fact that not only will everyone die if Shinra keeps the reactors running, but that it will happen in short order. Those are some hefty assumptions us as players were expected to make. We do because the game tells us to but it never quite explains how Avalanche knows all of this. From an in-universe perspective, they just look like conspiracy theorist kooks. In any other context, this is evil vs. evil with a whole lot of innocent victims but no actual hero in sight.

I thing i figured out how many episodes is going to be of DBZ Abridged. If the first arc was 10 episodes out of 35 in the real show and second arc (season) was 20 episodes out of 72 episodes, then the third arc will be 24 episodes out of 87 and the fourth arc will be 26 episodes out of 97. So, in total there will be 80 episodes, nice and round...
Or they can go 10-20-30-40 because they kinda dragged out the Cell Arc.

Dafuq? Do you really think they will end Android Arc in episode 54? I think this Arc may finish around episode 60 and Boo Arc will have 20~25 episodes

I'd like to say it here on the abridged thread, and thank the Tow Trucks for helping me GO EVEN FURTHER BEYOND! and get Unlocked Potenial on Xenoverse. You guys were right. 2 Towa's were really the best option for my grind build. Also I saw a Dumplin spawn online, so I wonder if that's a sign from the great Dumplin himself. I hope the Demon God doesn't mind I borrowed his Tow Trucks.
