The split is interesting. I guess if Vegetto is revisited for any reason, the Dragon Balls can be used to split them up.
I hope Freeza's empire is explored a bit as well. Probably not realistic, but it'd be awesome if Freeza is resurrected and some time passes before he heads to Earth. Would be fun from a world-building perspective if it was a legitimate entity once again.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I'm liking how the manga is connecting all the events togheter
Hopefully this means that Shampa will be introduced after episode 13

Kaioshin and Kibito finally splitted up.
This has to happen in the anime!!!

I really thought the Potara fusion for Kibitoshin was permanent. Oh well. It's gonna interesting to see how this develops the plot.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The split would contradict Tarble's OVA, I think I remember seeing Kibitoshin there. But guess what? Dragon Ball Super is ignoring that poor OVA and explicitly stating that OVA did not happen yet.
The split also contradicts that image at the very end of the manga, which shows everyone waving goodbye, I am sure Kibitoshin is also there.
Just noting it.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Tarble's special would need to happen before Super anyway, considering how Super seems to take place around the same time as Battle of Gods in spite of the early reports. But, yes, the lack of mention of Tarble during the SSJ ritual indicates that they aren't counting it, in spite of referencing the special in the first episode, with farmer Goku wearing the same outfit as in the special.Absolute Ice wrote:The split would contradict Tarble's OVA, I think I remember seeing Kibitoshin there. Still, with the way the Super manga goes by quicker, it might be possible that Videl's pregnancy there is revealed before they'd even have time to consider going after Tarble. We need to wait for the full chapter, I guess.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The OVA can still be inserted, we don't know the timeline of Super. Only that throw away 6 months line. For now I think it's best to keep our minds open.
Could Champa little souvenir be to kill, either Kibito or Kaioshin and Old Kai? He suspects they are tracking him so, they kill Old Kai and one of the other two, with the surviving one warning Goku. This would gave some reason for the unfusion, Champa would mistake probably Kibito, with Kibitoshin.

Maybe the reason they brought up the split is because they do plan on bringing him back.Analytical Delusion wrote:The split is interesting. I guess if Vegetto is revisited for any reason, the Dragon Balls can be used to split them up.
Super hasn't even hinted at the OVS's events so chances are they're not taking them into account.Absolute Ice wrote:The split would contradict Tarble's OVA.

The story already contradicts the manga's ending so chances are it might get rewritten.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Once again the manga is the only worth while thing to come out of Super so far. It's actually intriguing, adds worthwhile new things to the previous story, and ties them together it seems. It's more of what the anime should have been. Someone switch priorities and let the manga be the main feature as it wants to do some needed expansion to the universe.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The manga would be brilliant if it took the place of the anime and actually had time to dwell on things, but instead the main plot points in he anime are gone too fast in the manga, it's for obvious reasons though. Instead the manga is more like a behind the scenes of the anime, and shows us stuff we obviously aren't seeing.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
With Super having the DBs active & Videl pregnant with Pan, Super doesn't actually take place 6 months after Boo's death, but 4 years later, like BoG. So, the JSAT Special still fits in the continuity. The fact that Tarble wasn't mentioned in Super doesn't mean anything, since Super is written by Toei at the moment, while he was mentioned in Toriyama's BoG. And no, the new stuff don't contradict the ending, there is no reason for a rewrite.sintzu wrote:Super hasn't even hinted at the OVS's events so chances are they're not taking them into account.Absolute Ice wrote:The split would contradict Tarble's OVA.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It's set (a little while) after Buu was erased from people's memories which I doubt is 4 years cause they would have said something like nearly half a decade has passed instead of a little while so chances are it's a year or so after.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:With Super having the DBs active & Videl pregnant with Pan, Super doesn't actually take place 6 months after Boo's death, but 4 years later.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Well, how come, that the promo material, that is simply advertisement for TV series, is leagues better with storytelling and making a coherent story on limited number of pages?
Beats me! But I sure will leave the Super DVD's to rot in stores and will buy the manga if it comes out in tankobon format!

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I do agree that despite all the inherent flaws with the manga (pacing, page count, etc), it is doing a better job at conveying a more interesting story for the time being. It's possible that Toyble isn't making the larger plot points up himself though. Maybe they just don't have actors in line for Champa and Girl!Wis yet, and so we'll get all this in a flashback episode or two after Golden Freeza's arc ends. Sadly, we have no idea what's going on with it and will just have to wait. :/
Also noticed, at least with the way Shonengamez phrased it, it seems as though Kibitoshin was wanting to not only reverse his own fusion, but Elder Kaioshin's as well? The elder doesn't really seem interested though. xD

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō

With the Freeza soldiers inside their ship, just floating in space during their encounter with the orb and Champa...starting to think Super Dragon Balls are the size of planets,
Other things of note, besides what was already discussed:
--The god ritual is the version from Battle of Gods. Videl isn't blonde and Goku is holding hands too.
--The fight starts on the ship, but Goku and Beerus take off for other locales from the film.
--Super Saiyan God lasts the whole fight.
--Shisami is with Tagoma and Sorbet. So maybe Garana was above Tagoma, but he got bumped up once Garana died.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
So many differences between this and the TV series. @_@
I hope they eventually put Super's manga out in tankoubon format. I like VJump well enough, but it'd start taking up too much space after a while (I'm considering just buying them until we hit the end of the BOG arc in the manga and then just hoping tankoubon eventually appear).

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
what are this balls? o_O And I ask myself why there only DBs at our universe... And why no one else have known about this super ones? I thought only namekians are making them after all? Means that some Kami-one namekian had left Namek in the past as well
