Dragon Ball GT Retconned - What would you change?

- Re-write the Baby arc
- No Pilaf Gang
- Scrap the Black Star Dragon Ball and Super #17 arc
- Have Oob, Pan and Bra as the main characters
- Bra and Pan would be SSJ's
- Goku, Piccolo and Vegeta would sever as mentor roles
- Goten, Trunks and Gohan would remain as significant supporting characters
- Keep SSJ4 but redesign it
- Goku remains an adult

- Make Rildo luring out Goku's power. When he does power up, there is a blue flash that hints his full Super-Saiyajin God powers, then he returns back to blonde hair.
- When Baby arrives on Earth make him possess

then fight
Lazuli
and possess her, then
all three fight Goten and possess him (this time Baby in Lazuli's body, already remote controlling Yamcha and Tenshinhan),
then fight Gohan and possess him
and fight and possess Vegeta
=> Vegeta fights with his SSJ powers and when he powers up to Full Power SSJGSSJ Baby possesses him
- When Goku channels his powers, make his body force him into Super-Saiyajin God before he transforms into an Oozaru, then make the Super-Saiyajin Oozaru, give him different flashes of Aura, then channel and reshape the body to transform into SSJ4 who got his colour from SSJG

- Make the villains in hell and their riot more well-thought out, when they get their bodies or replacement bodies for quite some time Dr. Myuu and Gero talk about making a machine mutant-clone of 17 that is a perfect counterpart of his original
- Gero and Myuu talk about some villains distracting the others so everyone gets their revenge (while both scientists actuall don't care about them - and both scientists even eventually want to betray each other, just as Myuu did in the original)
- Gero talks to Cell about having revenge on Goku, Cell reads Gero's mind about creating the ultimate artificially-supported being (and Gero cannot make him stronger instead) - he insists on being the one who kills Gokuu for such a betrayal on his perfection - Gero accepts
- Freeza joins Cell
- When they begin their riot, Paikuhan and Piccolo try to stop them but Cell trained as he is and Normal Form (so his birth-form) Freeza easily defeat them
- Enma Daioh explains he cannot help the Earthlings as the Hell Inhabitants can overcome the rules by succeeding in such a riot and therefore the same rules no longer work for them, which means, they can get their bodies back, they can use their full power, they can be sent back to the Otherworld even though they were dead already, etc.
- Meanwhile both 17's open a gate between the realms, the others can escape
- Freeza and Cell both enter the mortal realm: Cell's first victim is Gohan. He powers up to SSJ, when he is exhausted he uses Ultimate as, while not as powerful at least gives him access to a great deal without less strain; when Cell uses a Kaiohken, Gohan gets defeated - Gokuu arrives
- Freeza seeks out for Vegeta as he was the last one who humiliated him. A great battle between SSJGSSJ unleashes. Freeza at least sometimes while being allowed to have a body, was able to train and get more used to the form. When Freeza realizes Gokuu is at Cell's, he flies away as they said before they would fight him together for what he did to them, Vegeta follows him
- Btw. the minions are defeated by the others.
- Goku Full Power SSJGSSJ, SSJ2 Gohan (with Senzu Bean),Vegeta Full Power SSJGSSJ fight Cell and Freeza. Cell and Freeza together take out Gohan and Vegeta. Goku turns SSJ4 and sends them back to hell.
- As they were totally underestimating the 17's, they fuse in a battle against Oob, Pan, Trunks and Goten.
- Oob and Gotenks try to defeat Super 17 (who by the way looks cooler and wears the coat) but he is too strong. On top of it he absorbs their energy
- 17 kills the scientists
- SSJ4 Gokuu and SSJ3 Vegeta (SSJ God enhanced) fight Super 17, Vegeta fails, Gokuu fights longer but also fails
- Gokuu defeats him with Lazuli's help, she brings in 17's wife and kids

- When they try to ressurrect the victims the Black Shenlong appears and splits up into the Xing Long
- Gokuu does not want the others to fight but he has to listen to a speech that while it is true that he takes responsibility and also worries about people he is also a very selfish person and that they will help him no matter what
- Pan becomes SSJ and defeats the female Xing Long
- Tenshinhan, Chaotzu, Yamcha and Lazuli defeat one Xing Long but are having a hard time
- Trunks and Goten fight one and fuse to Gotenks to defeat him
- Oob fights one and defeats him with his Majin Boo-st
- Vegeta fights Ice, Goku fights Nova
- Ice knocks down Vegeta and pretty much the Ice and Nova things from the original happens
- final battle - nothing about that changes, when it comes to the battle itself - a few transformations are uses like Pan SSJ or SSJ2 Goten and Trunks and Gohan and stuff after Gokuu and Vegeta SSJ4 are defeated and Gogeta messed it up, the Universal Genkidama happens, the 100 years time-skip, Pan sees Gokuu again and he disappears.

Why not have Dr. Gero and Dr. Myu create a new cyborg instead of Super #17. The idea of #17 becoming a main villain felt like that they grab ideas out of a hat. We haven't had a new cyborg since Super #13 and I think those two could have created something more original. Here's my idea to improve the Super 17 saga:

1. Ditch Super 17 for a new original cyborg
2. Have all of the villains escape out of Hell come back stronger, so they are not just killed off one sided and off screen. At least the idea will be different then what we got out of Fusion Reborn.
3. Have Gohan, Vegeta, Uub, Goten, Trunks, Pan, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, #8, #17 and #18 help out again the villains escape from Hell.
4. Make Cell and Freeza's team up against Goku be more serious then a one sided battle that is only one episode long. Make it at least two episodes long.
5. Like you said, have Pikkon and Piccolo help Goku return back home.
6. More interaction with the classic villains with the modern Z fighters. The bit of Nappa seeing Vegeta again was one of my favorite parts in GT. Have #8 interact with Dr. Gero since we never saw those two interact with each other. Maybe even have Freeza interact with GT Trunks and have him mistaken for Future Trunks.

Sorry I must have miss read your post then. If Dr. Gero and Dr. Myu did create a new cyborg in Hell then I would have gone with a humanoid oni look to it since it's a cyborg created in Hell after all. Another idea is ditch the whole villains coming back to life and just have Dr. Gero & Dr. Myu escape with their new creation instead.

My idea for the Shadow Dragons to change up the wishes for the Dragons and make them more serious too since a lot of them are just laughably bad. Just have each Z fighter fight a dragon tie in with a wish based around them.

Goku vs. the 1st Star Shadow Dragon - Why not have Yi Xing Long be born from the very first wish from the series? It would be funny to have the wish for a pair of panties end up creating the most evil force in the Universe. Also Pilaf is commonly associated with the one star dragon ball and it would be cool to tie the first villain with the final villain in the series.

Krillin vs. the 2nd Star Shadow Dragon - The 2nd Star Shadow Dragon can be born from the wish to wish back everyone killed by Piccolo Daimao and Tambourine

Uub vs. the 3rd Shadow Star Dragon - The 3rd Star Shadow Dragon can be born from the wish when Goku erase the memories of Majin Buu. Uub is the incarnation of Buu, so having Uub fight a shadow dragon tie in with Majin Buu would have been cool

Gohan vs. the 4th Shadow Star Dragon - The 4th Star Shadow Dragon can be born from the wish when Garlic Jr. wish to be immortal. Garlic Jr. used the 4th star Dragon Ball that he kidnap from Gohan.

Piccolo (who should have not died in GT) vs. the 5th Star Shadow Dragon. - The 5th Star Shadow Dragon would be born from the wish when Piccolo Daimao wishes for his youth to be restored

#18 vs. the 6th Star Shadow Dragon - Have the 6th Star Shadow Dragon be born from the wish when Krillin for the self-destruct bombs in #18 and #17 to be removed.

Vegeta vs. the 7th Star Shadow Dragon - Have the 7th Star Shadow Dragon be born from the wish when Yamcha wish that all the good people killed the day of the World Martial Arts Tournament to be revived. No changes from GT here.

I still would make Yi Xing Long be tied to Piccolo's wish and make his superior evil come from the fact that Piccolo killed Shenlong.

1. Goku would not become a kid. I'm not even sure I'd send him on the Dragon Ball quest. I'd make the Galactic DB quest maybe something that Trunks, Goten, Pan and Bra want to do for a fun bonding activity. Interspersed with seeing Goku train Uub and slowly get better, and having training battles. Maybe there is some sort of Earth plot here, like the legend of the Golden Oozaru they are investigating. Not sure what Vegeta was doing -- maybe he also goes to space with them since he knows more about space than them.

2.At some point there is a crisis in space Goku and Uub go help. Maybe they find Baby in some planet (not earth) and they slowly get Zombie-fied, so they need to call for reinforcements, aka the A-team. Similar to Namek arc in a way with a mix of Majin Vegeta. I don't like the Earth being destroyed plot and then being shipped off earth in spaceships. So they will be in space doing this. Maybe the planet they are on has a super-powered moon where they are and that causes tails to grow back. Goku turns Golden Oozaru and SSJ4. Uub helps the fight. They prevail, and come back to earth.

3. Maybe there is an old-fashioned tournament -- they might have Mr. Satan win at the end, but I want to know how a lot of our mains stack up in their base forms. Vegeta/Goku and Goku/Uub can be climactic arcs, but there might be a plot-hook character like an android or something -- plot hook for #18 and #17 (he is in the story to cheer on her sister).

4. Move on to a brief android arc, if we must, based on earlier plothook. But don't make it android #17. Make it something new. I feel we are out of people with grudges, but maybe someone they ran into in space. So it is a space alien robot. Have Bulma's tech play some sort of role in beating the robot. (not the Brutz wave generator -- Vegeta would already have a tail, and may or may not be SSJ4 by this point). Have our young ones have a critical role in the defeat.

5. I must be the only person in the world who doesn't love the Shadow Dragons plot. I hate "and the magic must die because we grew up and there are consequences" type plots. The magic should always be alive in DB! But I'm ok with some sort of idea of one Evil Dragon, just not tied to consequences of previous wishes. Maybe it is a Makaioshin Dragon of some sort, and it gains its power to grant wishes by eating 7 planets or some such. I might do something where Goku and Vegeta's God powers are invoked and it is not the right solution, and Pan and Uub emerge as the fighters with fighting spirit of the next gen doing something cool and new to beat the villain.

Pan's an SSJ. Actually, an SSJ2-she's 11 (?) and her potential's higher than Goten and Trunks' anyway.

Baby's a sympathetic antihero who only wants to kill Saiyans, not devestate earth for the lulz.
