After Majin Buu, what else could they do? The enemy couldn't get any more powerful or couldn't do anything Buu didn't do—it could only go downhill.
GT's ending reminded me of the movie endings—contrived and rushed, not making much sense and lacking the satisfaction one normally got from the death of a villain. I mean, Goku pulls the Spirit Bomb out of nowhere, it wasn't even as big as the one that hit Freeza, and it appeared almost instantly. And how was he suddenly invincible to all of the attacks thrown at him while he was holding it? He has to dodge Buu's but when he's a kid and one step away from death he can just stand there and take it?
The characters didn't have the same power of personality that the DB/Z characters did, either.

Two things that really struck me as good in GT:
1) Piccolo died. For good this time. I love Piccolo, and the reason why this is good is because it was so damn heartbreaking in the Japanese version - the only time I came close to shedding a tear on something DB-related. I almost felt Son Gohan's pain.
2) It showed that Juuhachigou actually, truly loved Kurilin. I always thought from DBZ that, on her part, it was a marriage of convinience.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Let's see(Forgive me for stealing some, but I agree with some of you)
No Dan Dan
No "Don't you See"
No "Hitori Janai"
No "Blue Velvet"
No "Any good music the series had"
No Final Bout
A few missing story arcs in the Budokai/Sparking Games
No War
North and South Dakota would just be Dakota
Really, though, the only thing that ticked me off about GT was the Freeza/Cell fight. I mean, they really could have made that better. Goku didn't even transform! There's no way a normal, child Goku could beat them both. Anyway, I'd better stop before I get mad and my typing gets out of whack...

I sort of agree with you, excluding the last two
GT had its ups and downs but hey, we got to see Dragonball continue for a while.
Cuz you're an ocean, you're an ocean, settle down settle down what's the commotion?

This doesn't make any sense. The question is "What would things be like without GT?" If GT never existed, you wouldn't be sad about the non-existance of GT...unless you're a time traveller or something.

Besides, those songs would all still exist, it's just licensed music.
1. We'd have gotten a better ending to the series by Toriyama.
2. Toei might've jumped into Dr. Slump much sooner, and might have been a tad too early for the digital animation era.
That's about it.
(Oh yeah, and we'd all be better people for not having sat through 64 episodes of pure evil).

If GT had never happened then people would be complaining about how much the Buu Saga "sucked" and was "crap" and "just made for the money". People need something to complain about and compare with "the classics" in a negative way. It's what makes fanbases go round.

Had there been no GT: Honestly, you people would still have things to complain about.

The Buu Saga does suck. Pretty much everything after SSJ Goku killed Freeza sucked, save for the Majin Vegeta 'arc', Vegetto and Kamiccolo.

^What I'm saying is that everyone, not just a select few as it seems to be now, would hate the Buu Saga as they do GT, thanks to what seems to be the unwritten rule of fanbases:
Most memorable/famous material(In this case DBZ)>>>>Initial material(DB)>>>>>>>>Most recent material(GT).

Does anyone think Goku made a mistake training Uub? He could have made more ground training Goten as earth's protector(even if he didn't like it). Goten would have been a better replacement, as his saiyan potential allowed him to keep gaining power. Uub was an excellent candidate and Z er, GT warrior, but he didn't stand a chance against the big guns like Bebi, Super 17 and Yi Xing Long.

What he should have done was demoted Gohan and for punishment made him train under Hercule untill he got better.
I can accept Goten for being stronger more than I can Gohan.

You're right that I wouldn't be sad that it never existed. But do you think that I would have found out about those songs without GT?(Well, you don't know me personally, so you wouldn't know

) I probably wouldn't have, because GT is actually the first time I watched any dragonball in Japanese, which got me interested in all this manga, Japanese stuff.
So without GT, I would not be drawing manga's, taking Japanese class, and actually many other things.

I never really thought about that before...hmm...

Well when I created the topic, what I was asking was this: Would you rather have GT or no sequel series at all? It can be bad at times, but do you think it's so bad that we'd be better off with nothing?

I would rather have it than nothing. I mean, some good and some bad is still better than nothing at all. GT did give us a proper ending.(I'm just saying I like the flashbacks and Goku flying away better than the Z ending.)

hi all I'm back

(long vacation)
The only thing that bothered me about Dragon ball GT was the Freeza and Cell fight, but I understood that it was made to be a joke/comedy fight and not an epic and serious fight.
The rest was fine for me. Dragon ball Z wasnt perfect either.
This video was very well done and shows good sides to Dragon ball GT. (about the Bebi saga)
