Did old kai lie about Beerus fearing his powers?

We know Old Kai was sealed up by Beerus,and Old kai said the man who sealed him was afraid o his powers. So was this a lie? Or did Beerus not want Old Kai to power raise say...Champa? Because It seams like Champa is below Beerus as he is roundabout with Beerus...but potential unlocked Champa might be a threat to him. Just a theory.

We know, given what's stated in the Twel-Buu Mysteries, that it was an argument between Beerus and the Kaioushin that resulted in Beerus sealing him away. Given this, and what we know about Beerus "fearing" his powers, it's possible that Rou Kaioushin made some comment that he could make someone even stronger than Beerus with his ability, and that angered/scared Beerus.

I really hope I goes full circle rather then just a random piece of information like when he warned goku and friends not to over use the dragon balls...the anime touched on this perfectly but manga wise it's still unknown what he meant. Is Toriyama cooking something up with this? Or did he just feel like connecting pieces and not going any further with it?
