Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I guess this sorta makes sense since Toyataro has already done an adaption of F. I just hope this is going to be something besides the Uni 6 arc as I wouldn't like the Uni 6 arc to be spoiled just yet.

I don't think he'll spoil major plot points such as the final battle.Sora Saiyan wrote:I guess this sorta makes sense since Toyataro has already done an adaption of F. I just hope this is going to be something besides the Uni 6 arc as I wouldn't like the Uni 6 arc to be spoiled just yet.
It'll be interesting to see where the manga goes once the u6 arc is over.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

For those of you buying V-Jumps, would you mind sharing the Dokkan Battle's serial codes if you have no use for them?

This is really interesting and exciting, I hope it takes a slightly slower pace now that it's going to be ahead of the anime for a few chapters.
I'm so glad we get to start seeing some of the completely new stuff now instead of having to wait till like January or February.

The pace doesn't inherently need to be slowed. Being a monthly manga, we'd get next to nothing accomplished each ~15 page chapter. What we need is more pages, which will allow for the content to not feel so rushed, which will basically give the same effect you desire.ArchedThunder wrote:This is really interesting and exciting, I hope it takes a slightly slower pace now that it's going to be ahead of the anime for a few chapters.
I would hope for ~40 like a lot of other monthly manga, but even ~30 like the Resurrection "F" adaption chapters would be a godsend. Doubtful to happen though.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Kinda disappointing if Champa turns out to be the only main villain of Universe 6 arc.
I was expecting in Universe 6, to exist a strong guy like Goku to represent them. That guy would be for his friends, what Goku is for the Z Fighters. Their hero.
Champa would still be playing the bad guy on the sidelines and be the reason why both clash, but he wouldn't be the final threat.
It would be something like:
Universe 7: Beerus/Whis on the sidelines. Goku/Z Fighters on the frontlines
vs
Universe 6: Champa/Whis Waifu on the sidelines. Their gang on the frontlines.
Beerus is already the main villain in BOG.
We have Freeza, a old character, as the villain in ROF.
Will we just have a Fat Beerus for Universe 6?!
The villains became lame after BOG, if thats so.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Toriyama said he's drawing a lot of character designs and a member of Toei's staff said Goku was gonna get a large number of rivals. It's unlikely Champa is the only villain of the upcoming arc.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Infact I think toei has not yet revealed the real villain of super. I mean we don't even know the name of Female Attendnat.Doctor. wrote:Toriyama said he's drawing a lot of character designs and a member of Toei's staff said Goku was gonna get a large number of rivals. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I have that feeling too. I think Champa will be the gateway to something bigger. The sneaky way he's acting in the manga, doing things behind the scenes while hiding from Beerus, doesn't scream "main villain". He's trying to trigger something, so he might even be the Babidi to someone's Buu, or playing the main role in a short arc that will lead to the U6 adventures.Sodhi wrote:Infact I think toei has not yet revealed the real villain of super. I don't understand where the assumption that Champa will be the one and only villain from U6 comes from..

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
He's definitely a gateway to other things. Regardless of whether he ends up being the final villain or not though, given the premise of the Universe 6 material, there will certainly be others that stand in the way of our heroes over the course of the arc.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It'd be interesting if FemWhis was the main villain.

Also the brief snippet of Champa we got in the BoG arc promo doesn't scream villain with what I presume was Beerus teasing him.Araki wrote:I have that feeling too. I think Champa's gonna be either the Vegeta to Beerus' Gokû, or the Uni 6 version of Beerus.

If by that you mean his rival, then I think the same.Chuquita wrote:I think Champa's gonna be either the Vegeta to Beerus' Gokû,
I can't wait for Beerus to meet Champa as it looks like they're going to tease each other whenever they're together
Sleeping until the tournament is over.

I've got a good feeling about their chemistry and can't help thinking about cat videos on YouTube where you've got two cats taunting each other. They really have me thinking of Maru and Hana right now. Glad i didnt get rid of the revival of f manga then. It's not complete but better than nothing. I wonder if this also means no tankobon since its missing a whole arc. Unless they are just skipping all the filler episodes coming up?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
They could probably just cover RoF from the moment where Goku goes back to Earth (they basically did this with BoGs in the manga already) and then rush through everything in less than a chapter in order to add more scenes with Champa.

Or maybe right where they left off in the preveiw manga and sum things up in a few pagesNeon Z wrote:They could probably just cover RoF from the moment where Goku goes back to Earth (they basically did this with BoGs in the manga already) and then rush through everything in less than a chapter in order to add more scenes with Champa.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
RE: Champa's role, I have a feeling Champa is going to be an ally to the group only to betray them later on as part of a larger plot.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It'd be nice if Viz were to license the Super manga and have it run in their digital SJ issues; like play catch-up for the first four chapters and then just go with the months, or something. *She thinks as she debates on whether or not to buy next month's issue of VJump or to just leave off at the end of reBOG which was the original plan.*
On hiatus.
