Yes, actually. They base their translation on a rushed Spanish translation that comes out ~3 hours after the episode airs.

But the spanish translation is not nearly as bad as the rushed english translation! I haven't seen most of the errors listed here in the spanish version (they definitely don't say "fuertementea," which is not even a word). Do these people speak neither Japanese or Spanish?

I got to ask if Beerus's remark about "rarely getting to eat good food" is accurate. This might be something to foreshadow his reasoning to spare Earth.

What part of the episode is that from? Beerus talks about having never eaten pudding before, and not knowing if he'll ever get that chance again, but ofhand I don't think he says anything like that.

Well, I think Whis says it first, after eating the first piece of sushi, he appears next to Beerus with another piece of sushi on a fork and goes on to ask Beerus to wait until he is done eating because they rarely get to eat good food.

Yeah, it's not really wordplay, he just rattles off a bunch of short statements and questions, which all end in da or ka due to the nature of Japanese grammar.

D'oh. But at least I learn a bit about Japanese every day now :3

I think they're throwing the spanish translation into Google Translate, hence why the typoed 'fuertementea' wasn't translated, and then trying to make some sense out of the output.

So enraged Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta is currently the strongest.

Vegeta = </=10% of Beerus

SSG Goku = </= 70% of Beerus

SSG Goku is 7x greater than Vegeta, possibly around 10x greater than Goku's ss3.

He said he'd destroy the rest of the Solar System (太陽系 / taiyōkei). Galaxy is 銀河 (ginga), if I'm not mistaken.

I'm absolutely no expert on Japanese though, so Herms (or anyone else, really) may better suited to answer this.

No, as per Toriyama: God Goku is a 6, Beerus is a 10 and Whis is a 15. Thus Goku is 60% of Beerus, who used 70% of his power to keep the Saiyan in check.

Episode title: "Vegeta's Furious Mutation"
Significance: The key word here is 突然変異/totsu-zen hen'i, literally meaning a "sudden change", but in practice the Japanese word for a mutation. It's how Ginyu describes the extreme natural fighting talent which he and the rest of the Ginyu Force were born with, for instance. It's therefore kind of an odd thing to use to describe a Super Saiyan-style transformation, as it's used there. Probably because of this, DT translates the episode title as "Vegeta's Total, Furious Change".

I'm curious about this Japanese word for mutation. Does it have some relation to how some guidebooks describe Broly's different evolution? I don't know if this an apropriated question for this topic, but I wanted some clarification on the terms they use there and here in this episode.

Exact same word, yes.

It explains, while offering no explanation. If it was simply a rage-boost, I would think they would use that word. It's as logical as Super Saiyan, a transformation of legend, that's really the only explanation we got. I kinda like it so: Goku has SSJ3 , Gohan Mystic and Vegeta Mutated SSJ2. Gotenks are just a bunch of copycats.

I haven't seen it for myself, but I've been told that according to some groups, Shenlong knows how to conceive a Super Saiyan God "thanks to his knowledge of Namekian lore".

Sorry this isn't perheps the right topic but, the fight between vegeta en beerus in episode 8 the moment they get in the sea (after vegeta punch him in "a hole") they have a little fight in it and then vegeta punch him out of the sea (hole). When they get out, the sea starts filling itselfs. Are they fighting so fast that they can fight in this "hole" and get out before this hole is filling itself with water? Or is it normal that this hole fills itsself after a while?

We're not beholden to any kind of schedule. While this material may later be incorporated into the main website, right now Herms types things out and posts them when he has the time and feels like it. It's a convenience done in spare time.

Other than Herms being busy it might because the speed subs weren't that bad this week, probably since there wasn't a lot of talking, so there really isn't a rush to fact check.
