It's giji ("false, pseudo") Super Saiyan.

There is that scene where long-haired Gohan briefly becomes a Super Saiyan, then reverts to normal. Was that in the anime also?

If you mean the RoSaT scene, then yes, it was.

Thanks for the info, MajinVejitaXV.

As for the scene with Gohan in the RoSaT, I don't actually remember that being in the manga, I coulda sworn it was anime only.

Anyway, now It's sounding like DBKai won't be that great. It'll be like watching the faux remastered sets, just with slightly better cropping and colors.

Not to rain on the parade, but I wish they would concentrate on making new original movies, or episodes to fill in time gaps (Training for the Androids, the 7 years after Cell's death) instead of just redoing something already done.

Don't worry. Everyone else here is raining on one parade or another.

I still don't get why people love twelve episodes of filler while Goku runs Snake Way.

There's some filler I like and some I dislike, but I really don't want to see even more be added to the series... It's already padded out enough as it is.. Now more movies, possibly done with the Jump Special artwork.. THAT would be awesome.

Btw, I have no intention of raining on anyone else' parade other than my own, really.. I'm still excited to see DBKai, I'm just wishing they would do more than simply "restore" the original footage. Something new would be nice, but that would be asking too much.

A movie 18? Sure, that'd sound fun. Frankly, I don't care if they produce dozens more films. I can always just pick up the one's I like.

If another movie was more or less the same thing we get after Movie 4, I'm not going to say I am particularly enthralled with the idea. The Jump Special makes me think that new Dragon Ball material CAN be good, but perhaps a film is not the way to go.

I'd like to see episodes that finally answers some questions like the origins of Krillin, Yamcha, Tienshinhan, Choazu, and maybe another Trunks special

I mean his background? What happened to his family?

I got the new information from Shonen Jump.

Edit:

The artist for both opening and closing song is Takayoshi Tanimoto.
Opening Song: Dragon Soul
Ending Song: Yeah! Break! Care Break!

And the rest is the list of the original Seiyu, which does not include Tenshinhan's new voice.

"Dragon Soul" and "Yeah! Break! Care Break!", can't read the artist's name though...

Yeah! Break! Care Break! I just hope they do multiple OP/ED's this time. I know I was getting pretty tired of Zenkai Power by the Cell arc in DBZ.

But on a more serious note, I'm insanely excited to see what they're going to end up doing with the series, whether it be for better or for worse. The simple idea of re-recording music and dialogue alone has me at the peak of curiosity. Good stuff!

So, new songs... I wonder if it will be all new footage for the openings and closings?

Here's hoping!

Is the new ED an already existing song?

Too bad about no Kageyama. Maybe they'll change it halfway through like they did with WGP.

Just want to confirm that my eyes aren't lying to me, and that in addition to Tenshinhan not being listed, we don't see either a "Kame-Sen'nin" or a "Muten-Roshi", right...?

I see...

- Son Goku & Son Gohan
- Bulma
- Kuririn
- Yamcha
- Oolong
- Chiaotzu
- Gyû-Maô
- Chi-Chi
- Kami-sama
- Piccolo
- Raditz
- Vegeta
- Freeza
- Narration

There's a lot missing in there, obviously.

I wonder Sounds pretty good to me, although I'm a little sad Kageyama isn't singing the new themes.

For characters not listed (or for voice actors who have passed on) I can only imagine that there original dialogue will just be carried over to Kai. I guess instead of replacing them, the'll just keep it as it was in the original version (?). I have no idea, thats the only thing I can see them doing. They can't just not have Roshi or Tienshinhan.
